Love the look and functionality!
I did read all of the reviews before I bought this for my 2023 Tacoma Sport, short bed. It took me a several hours to install and everything went well, and I really love the end result look. I waited for a good rain to see how well it sealed and found that it leaked very little near the tailgate, but to be honest, I did not expect perfection, so I was very happy with how well it kept the water out. The directions could use some updating due to some of the differences between the directions and what was needed for my truck, but I did get it properly installed and I was impressed with the installation design which made it super easy to figure out and install. No cutting or drilling was needed except for the 2 drainage holes near the cab end of the bed. I used a step drill bit, then sealed around the hose once installed. I have used the cover in the various open positions and every position worked very well while driving at freeway speeds. I love the way it's designed to lock when the tailgate is locked. I also installed a tailgate extender and both the tailgate extender and cover worked well together. (They don't interfere with each other) I started to give this a 4-star due to the directions needing up dating, but due to the design being so easy to figure out what the directions lacked, I changed it to a 5-star. Very satisfied with this cover!

Bang for your buck,
So I was super skeptical about this product at first, it being a third of the price of the next best one available, and I've shopped in stores and on other sites, and the price I kept seeing was 800-1000 dollars without install service. So I rolled the dice, and expected a cheap, flimsy product, that worst case scenario I would use in the winter to keep the snow out of the bed of my tacoma and I would start again in the spring.the product was shipped on time, so plus right there. the box itself was large but not unmanageable. The written instructions were a bit vague and if your not too mechanically inclined you may struggle with them, but the youtube video was about 5 minutes long and extremely thorough. So I'm confident anybody can figure this out. start to finish took me about 20 minutes. the kit gave me everything I needed but a knife to cut the weather strip. At the end of it, still being weary of this product, I went through it with a fine tooth comb looking for issues, and what I did find wasn't a deal breaker, especially for 270 bucks, 1. the clamps were kind of a pain in the A to adjust and get just right, and if your going to be in and out constantly removing the cover, maybe get something more sturdy and pliable, 2. even with the heath strip, this is in no way 100% water tight, so anything that can't get wet shouldn't be placed in the bed with no other protection, 3. the canvas isn't real thick, but does seem durable enough to with stand snow and highway winds, but I wouldn't stand on it or use it as a tool benchAgain, for the price difference and what my use for it is, these are non issues for a 500+ dollar savings. Its been on my truck for a month no, in in that month, its withstood rain storms, heavy winds, a lot of highway time and a carwash. SO far so good. As I mentioned above, I did need to remove the rear section once to us my bed, and it was a bit cumbersome to clip and unclip, and the plastic handles I do fear may become brittle in colder weather, so be warned if you are going to be in and out of the bed, but again for me its a not that big of a deal.5 stars....is it the best no, but it is the best for its price.

After the install, a great accessory for my truck
Th diagrams on the instructions were inadequate. Ex: Box 1 of instructions loosely shows where the bolt goes. It makes it look like it goes in the oblong whole, giving the impression to maneuver up or down depending on where the cover fits. The dotted line goes into the oblong whole. You don't see till a few blocks later that that nope, it goes in the round whole next to the oblong whole, which makes more sense. The railings were not labelled. It would have been nice if they had placed a "D" sticker for driver side rails and a "P" sticker for the passenger side rails. They tell you to cut the tape on the box containing the rail with the detachable dip spout. Well, the box was open ended and the railings slipped half way out. So, I let the slip the rest of the way but the drip spouts stayed in the box. Box should have been closed on both ends.I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out which rail went where and how they were supposed to face.So between the inadequate instructions, the inadequate diagram and un-labelled parts, it took me way more than all the Youtube videos showing how it took them only 30 minutes. They've obviously had prior experience and the correct tools. It seems they wrote the instructions and drew the diagrams for people who've done this before when they should be writing and drawing to someone who has never installed a truck bed cover. I'm pretty good at putting things together but I had a hard time with this one.Not only that, the rubber gasket on one of the upper rails slipped out of place in transit and when I tapped it back in after it was on the truck, the last half inch popped out of place so the cover is slightly raised on that side. I will troubleshoot another day.I was looking forward to having a bed cover. I chose this one because it was highly rated on more than one article. I still look forward to using it. I just am disappointed that installing it proved difficult.I suggest instead of loosely drawn diagrams, they use real pictures. I also suggest they put a sticker on each rail indicating whether it is for the driver side or passenger side. So, if you know how to install these, I recommend it. If not, maybe consider paying someone that does. I should have.
