Essential Plosive Protection for the Procaster & PodMic
The Setup: I use the Rode WS2 on both my Rode Procaster and Rode PodMic. My studio rig is built for maximum clarity: I run these mics through Triton FetHeads into a Pyle 12-Channel Mixer, and finally into a Tascam DR-60D MKII. While the Procaster has great internal protection, adding the WS2 is what truly gives me that "radio-ready" sound without any harsh mouth noises. Performance & Audio Clarity: The WS2 is made of high-quality, acoustic-grade foam that tames sharp peaks and heavy air blasts without muffling the high-end detail. Because my FetHeads provide such a clean gain boost, any tiny pop or hiss would be amplified. This shield effectively acts as a physical gate, ensuring only my clear, balanced voice hits the recording. Design & Integration: Perfect Fit: It slips over the large head of the Procaster and the PodMic perfectly. It stays snug and doesn't slide around, even when moving the Rode PSA1+ arm frequently. Low Profile: Unlike those bulky "hoop" style pop filters that block your face on camera, the WS2 is sleek and professional. It looks great in my Canon M50 shots during interviews. Durability: It’s easy to clean and holds its shape well. It doesn't crumble over time like cheap generic foam covers. Final Verdict: If you are serious about your podcast audio and already have the right mount and preamps, don't skip the WS2. It provides that critical final bit of isolation from plosives and breath noise, allowing your Tascam to capture a pristine, broadcast-quality track every time.

Good quality
Works as expected. Quality was good and fit correctly.

Money well spent
Very high quality foam windscreen to be expected of Rode. Another situation where I was happy to spend 10 more bucks instead of going with the 'Best Choice' 'Overall Pick' Chinese drop-shipped pop filter of inferior quality.

Solid product, but definitely not a miracle worker
It's not bad, but not sure it'd be the best buy for eliminating pops. Generally, wind shields don't do an excellent job of blocking pops, but the product name "Rode WS2 Microphone Pop Filter/Wind Shield" advertises it as such. In my personal instance, I wanted to try it with my podmic (because I get minimal popping). If you choose to not position your mic directly in front of you, and instead to the side- this works relatively well with negating pops (depending on how much to the side it is). I'd also imagine minimal gating for breaths; mind not at a great degree. Surprisingly, it didn't muddle my highs as much as other wind shields (cheaper materials). The material feels and appears pretty sturdy. It fit my podmic like a tight glove. Don't expect miracles, but for some rather minimal adjustment to an amateur's setup: this is probably the easiest to deal with when it comes to the spacing of your area. Standard pop shields (the circular mesh screen) would work a lot better for a home setup for pops, but at the sacrifice of space & possible adjustments regularly. If you want significant change, just pass up this product.

GET THIS ONE! Do NOT buy a Cheap Chinese Version!
Do NOT buy a chinese one. I bought this for the Rode Podmic and it fit it perfectly. Please note this one IS SUPERIOR AT BLOCKING WIND POPUNG NOISE compared to the cheap knock offs. Foam is not just Foam some are smooth foam and dont help but this is a fuzzy foam that spreads the wind in different directions to reduce wind noise while the cheap chinese one I tried just muffles the audio a bit and stops some but not enough wind.

i love it but i will say the rode nt1-a look absolutely diabolical with this thing on. That being said it works great.

Not for heavy duty fans
Not strong enough to block out high power fans like Vornado or shop fans, works great for less intense fans and settings.
