Does this product leave a little shine/sheen on the skin?

When you first apply, yes. But it is a very light weight product and is meant to absorb into the skin. So it actually leaves more of a "dry" finish. But your skin is left feeling hydrated. If you are looking for a product that leaves a "shine/sheen", I would go for something a little heavier.

Why is canola oil in this? Gross

Canola oil is a natural, vegan, oil produced from canola seeds. It contains essential fatty acids making it a great skin care ingredient in this product. High in nutrients, it’s known for its excellent skin care benefits: such as improved elasticity, the prevention of dark spots, blemishes and wrinkles. Many great skin care ingredients are also used in cooking for example: olive oil, sunflower oil, and coconut oil, due to their high, healthy fat, content. Those same essential fatty acid makes these gourmand ingredients work really well for moisturizing skin and hair.

Can somone describe the smell?

It has a coconut smell, a delicious smell. But it dissipates quickly. My husband comments on how good it smells soon after I apply it.

Can this be used on the scalp to get rid of dandruff? I am female so not a bald scalp. If so, would you leave in or rinse off? Thanks!

Personally I use it on my skin and not on my hair, but t is a light weight formulae and would leave it on the hair. Infact it is a great light moisturizer. So unless your hair skin is very dry BUT it is non greasy and that is why I like it.
