Overcoming When You Feel Overwhelmed: 5 Steps to Surviving the Chaos of Life (A Practical Guide to Getting Unstuck and Conquering Fear, Anxiety & Stress)

This book is a must read for the day and times we are living in. This is a book that will encourage you to keep going in seasons where you feel like giving up. Pastor Franklin is able to convey the message of the gospel and the hope that we have in Jesus even in seasons where we feel overwhelmed. I felt compelled and convicted to be a "Nighttime Hero" I was reminded that God is looking for the "heroes who will do something for the Body of Christ selflessly, whether or not they feel anything is being done for them." The book also was a great reminder that God is with us in every season and there is an appointed time for everything. We need to remember to Look Up at ALL times! Nothing that happens in our lives is wasted. "We must learn how to fight-and how to wait-at the same time." We all must wait! Pastor Franklin reminds us that our waiting is purposeful. Even when we are overwhelmed by this life, this book reminds us that God will cause us to be overcomers. We are in a Spiritual battle with an enemy who is trying to keep us distracted and get us to give up and stop growing. This book will help keep you focused or help get you refocused on living the life God intends and keep you overcoming in every season.

The book arrived in perfect condition and I very happy with Amazon. Now for the review: Pastor Jentezen Franklin’s book, Overcoming When You Feel Overwhelmed: 5 Steps to Surviving The Chaos of Life, is designed to “help overcome…in overwhelming times”. In Part One, Pastor Franklin shows the reader that we are “part of biblical prophecy…and that there is greater purpose…as we journey through life…in play”. Pastor Franklin introduces the reader to the 5 Steps to Overcoming through Overwhelming Times which are “steps that will help us face and rise above life’s turmoil and troubles”. Part Two looks more closely at the 5 steps individually and how “each step will not only help you overcome the chaos of the everyday but will help us understand the mystery of the end times and encourage others to do the same.” Part Three dives into the four characteristics of the end-time spirit that is attacking the Body of Christ today. Pastor Franklin’s book will help you “approach the last days [not through] chaotic living, fear or ignorance but with knowledge and bursting with power because of Jesus Christ, who has already won!” I believe Pastor Franklin’s words, “Freedom awaits”. Whether you are a seasoned Christ-follower, new in Christ, or an unbeliever who is searching for something better than their current situation, Overcoming When You Feel Overwhelmed will help you “get up, get out, and get free from addiction, anxiety, despair or whatever obstacles are overwhelming you in this moment. I believed that I had depression (not clinical or chemical imbalance) and it wasn’t until the Lord led me to Pastor Franklin’s book. My reading of an early copy of the book was a divine appointment setup by God to have Pastor Jentezen Franklin shepherd me as I walk out my relationship with Christ. I no longer suffer from depression and my attitude about myself has changed and I no longer let the devil tell me who he says I am, I have kicked me out of my life, my marriage, my family and now I see myself the way God sees me as His child, beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). Pastor Franklin’s book is a much needed message for the Body of Christ and those believers who have allowed fear into their lives and have let it control them to the point that they have given in or have became slaves to it.

In the last couple years there has been stuff happening at an unprecedented level and sadly it doesn’t appear to be leveling off so we either take the fight or the flight approach. It’s up to each person to make that decision and when doing so, having the right tools in our belt is the key to being successful and living a more peaceful, joyful, happy and fulfilled life which is what God’s wants for us. That is where Jentezen’s book comes in. He offers real life personal, historical and Biblical examples which are relatable, enlightening and encouraging because the common theme is overcoming, while providing steps we can take to be overcomers ourselves. For such a time as this, God has inspired this book and Jentezen has written it with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You have to see for yourself how great this book is. I have read many books and there are so many gifted and talented brothers and sisters in the Lord and having been under his teachings for the last couple years through the on-line campus of Free Chapel, Jentezen Franklin is a godly man, full of humility, kindness and truth which he speaks in love. He is all about reaching the lost for Jesus Christ and he wrote this book to help people discover for themselves a deeper connection with God and for them to be empowered to go out and make a difference in the world. That’s you! You have to see for yourself just how amazing this book is and once you do, you will want to buy multiple copies and give them to your friends and family. Blessings to you all as you set out on your own journey to living as an over comer and not allowing the chaos in this world to overwhelm you. You are the one! This is the place! Now is the time!

TIMELY - This book is an essential read for here and now! Whether you have heard, seen, or experienced it, everyone is either going in or coming out of a storm. Jentezen Franklin ties real stories (our stories) into the hand of God found in Matthew 14:22 - "it was JESUS who put them (the disciples) in the storm. He (Jesus) knew they would receive revelations in the storm that they would never learn from the safety of the shore". He acknowledges that one of the worst attitudes we can have is believing, "that can never happen to me". The National Pandemic, alone, has changed our lives. While we have embraced the word essential, we may still be defining or redefining what our individual valuable essentials really are. Readers will have a hard time putting this book down as it is packed full of the valuables we are in search of. We truly are made for more, even when it means a little less. So whatever storm you are going in or coming out of, keep on walking (searching) for your valuables. "God is still working it out while you're walking it out". Pastor Franklin, Thank you for your service, your relative teachings, and for pouring so much into this book. I am grateful for all your encouragement: "Gold Standard" - "Fix your eyes on JESUS, not the problem" because "Everything flows from a relationship with God". Good book in line with scripture.

Pastor Jentezen delivers another Biblically sound publication that offers practical, spiritual guidance for real-life situations. Nothing could be more timely for the season we are living in when our spirituality is challenged and the enemy is competing for our souls more than ever. Pastor's no-nonsense approach is written in a manner that is easily understood. His vulnerability and honesty are refreshing. One cannot argue with someone who has had these trials and tribulations and has come out more than victorious. If you are going through difficult times, or feel so overwhelmed that you do not know how you will face the next day, next minute, or next second - this book is for you. Thank you Pastor Jentezen for being such a prophetic voice in these end times.

I have not yet read the book. I'll upgrade to 5 star if it's what I expect. But I wanted to note I appreciated the handwritten thank you note AND the cute handmade book mark! What a special touch!! Thank you!

Still reading it, but it's (some views expressed against the Law & hurtful) written from an Evangelical Christian perspective - legal in America, I think.

The title is deceiving. I thought it was about overcoming my emotions when I feel overwhelmed with my life, when I'm in anxiety or fear and how to overcome those feelings. That is not what this book is about it is more about fulfilling God's purpose in your life. If you're looking for a book on emotional overwhelming feelings, I'd recommend untroubled by Christine E Miller.

The book is useless on its own and you need to have a guide or other text book to help you with it. I found it useless and gave it away.
