Kingkong 7152 Grill Cover for Weber Performer Charcoal Grills, 22-Inch (Compared to Weber 7152) including Stainless Steel Brush and Tongs

The KingKong 7152 Grill Cover for my Weber Performer is awesome. I got tired of replacing inferior quality canvas covers that just don't last in the Southern California sun. The fit is excellent. The quality of the material is impressive. Based on other reviews (especially those from Texas), I expect this cover to last a LONG TIME. Oh, and besides that it looks great on my grill. I consider this a nice upgrade.

Great replacement for my Weber. Fits properly and material looks like it will hold up.

I bought this to use with my vintage Weber Performer with stainless steel table. With a modification I will discuss in a moment this cover works perfectly with my grill. The cover itself is all I was hoping for - exceptionally nice quality for the price. The vintage Weber Performer (1990 era with stainless steel table) is about 4.25 inches longer than the newer models. Covers to fit the old model are no longer available. Several people have discovered this only after receiving the cover and finding it doesn't fit. I initially considered cutting flaps in the cover so the handles can protrude (as one review here suggests) but I found another solution that works better for me. With a hacksaw I cut 3.125 inches off the handle end of the 1.25 inch square tubing top rails to make it about the same length as the newer grills. I then plugged the ends of the square tubing with these black plastic square tubing plugs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075STMK7K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. These look identical to the ones Weber used. Alternatively, you could reuse the ones that are in the section of tubing you cut off. I ordered the set because two of my grill's end caps were missing. The cover now fits perfectly and there is no loss in functionality for me with the grill modification. I can still easily move the grill around and if I want to lift the handle end of the grill to move it wheelbarrow style, that is easy to do by gripping the lateral end square tubing that runs underneath the stainless table hinge. Problem solved.

After my flimsy, Weber-branded cover cracked and faded after just a couple of seasons, I replaced it with the Kingkong 7152—and it completely outperforms the original in every way. The material is significantly thicker and heavier, staying perfectly pliable through freezing winters and scorching summers without ballooning in high winds. It fits my Genesis grill like a glove, features robust Velcro strap that actually stay secure, and even threw in a high-quality grill brush and tongs for a fraction of the OEM price. Stop paying a premium just for the Weber logo; this is the heavy-duty, weatherproof upgrade your grill actually deserves.

It’s truly the best fitting and best quality grill cover I’ve ever purchased hopefully it holds up in the sun, but it certainly keeps the rain off of my new Weber performer grill. It’s not made of weatherproof canvas. It almost feels like rubber. It’s so thick. I love it. Thank you, King Kong for a very well-made cover.

Sturdy material, good fit

I've bought this twice. First time was about 7 years ago for my first Performer. It was a little tight but worked great. It is getting worn and cracked now and needs replaced. The second one was just over 3 years ago for my second Performer and it fits great and is still holding up very well. It sits on an uncovered patio and is weatherproof to this day.

This is the second cover we have purchased. The first cover lasted 8 years in all weather conditions. Hope this one is the same quality.
