Sturdy and works well
I had forgotten about this tripod till I was searching my old orders for binoculars. Bought it in 2015 and left it at my old place. It's very sturdy and lightweight. I it's collapsible and easy to adjust. It was less expensive than the stores I looked up. It works well with the Celestron 80mmx20 Astro binoculars. It was sturdy and even the carrying case was good quality. If you follow the directions you would really enjoy this.

Good Value For The Price
Really nice tripod for the money. Lots of adjustment factors, sturdily built without being too heavy to move around quickly and easily. I've got a fairly heavy viewing scope with a long lens on it (for birds and landscape, from my mountain home), so sometimes I have to ratchet down the vertical axis adjustment pretty aggressively to get and keep a given field of view, but for what I spent I'm very content. I also have a house full of bulldogs who are *NOT* the most graceful beasts on the planet - they tend to pick a spot to stand or sit or lie down, and MOVE whatever might be in their way when they do it. So I've seen this thing get bumped and shifted pretty hard, with my heart in my throat, thinking my viewing scope was about to take a tumble, but so far, so good - not even a close call. Nice product, shipped fast.

Good value, but could use a stronger mounting plate.
For the money, it's a fairly robust tripod. It would have received 5 stars if the removable mounting bracket was a bit more solidly built. The injection molded piece could have a more solid look. Our first use was to mount our spotting scope and camera on the tripod, a bit of the bracket chipped off. Admittedly, the 15-lb load of the two is well under the stated weight limit, but the center of gravity is not over the set screw with the two items connected. Overall, we like it, and realize we need to be extra careful when manipulating the tripod head/aiming the scope & camera combination. We'd like to buy a few more mounting plates, to keep them on the equipment we use (two cameras and two scopes), rather than having to unscrew the plate and move it to the next piece of equipment. None appear available from the manufacturer or on Amazon.

Good for the price
I bought this for a set of binoculars that I use for Astronomy, and needed something inexpensive. The binoculars, which are awesome, are Celestron SkyMaster 20x80 Binoculars . The tripod itself is nice, stable, and works great on a table. The mount looks and feels cheap, however, and the weight of the binoculars may be too much for it. The mount is all plastic, and I broke the level that raises and lowers the mounting bracket that connects to the camera/binoculars. No matter how I work to tighten the mounting for the binoculars, I get a loose-fitting wiggle. If this item was purchased for a camera, the wobble in the mount might not be as noticeable. There are two levels on the mount to assist in making sure that a camera is level, but this feature for my binoculars was not needed. If you are going to use this for a large pair of binoculars, I'd suggest that you look at something with a sturdier mounting bracket. The good about the item is that the legs are stable, well made and light. The extensions are stable as well. I used this during the Venus Transit on June 6, 2012 and even when people bumped into the tripod it did not tip over. The unit is light weight and would be perfect for someone with a camera who just wants to have a tripod on hand.

I feel this is an excellent product. I have used the tripod to mount ...
For the price, I feel this is an excellent product. I have used the tripod to mount a set of adjustable Nikon binoculars and have been very pleased with the utility. The height is tall enough to have the binocs at eye level so I don't have to bend down for long periods. The leg adjustments are simple and work well enough to easily level the tripod on uneven surfaces. The pan and tilt adjustments are a bit plastic feeling and you know this isn't a high end product however taking into consideration the price, I feel they are perfectly acceptable.

BARSKA, Another name for cheaply made.
Cheap! Center leg braces look like they would break or pop off if you opened tripod too quickly. Plastic latches on leg extensions are thin and feel like they might break when you open them. I took it out of the box, looked at it, repacked it and sent it back for a refund the next day. Second BARSKA product I have purchased. Would not trust my equipment on this tripod. Will Not Buy This Brand Again! I found several other brands of tripods on Amazon. I chose a Nietoto 68" Tripod/Monopod. It is versatile and can be setup for almost any shot whit an SLR you can imagine. It is well built and will support whatever SLR/Lense combo or Spotting Scope you have. It comes with extra feet, knobs and 2 equipment base plates for quick setup and takedown. Cost was $69.90 / $75.67 after tax and if you have Prime shipping is free.

this tripod is very sturdy. And
With a Barska Astronomical Binoculars, this tripod is a must. The weight of the binoculars makes it difficult to zero in on an item in the sky. The tripod makes this task easier by far. Also, this tripod is very sturdy. And, by removing the feat, it has spikes for soft ground to steady the tripod. Also, this tripod sells at a reasonable price. You can't lose purchasing this tripod. I've been trying to find another quick release plate that is the same size so I can interchange devices but other than 1 on ebay for $50 including shipping plus taxes I am unable to find one and the Barska store on amazon has no support!
