Great!
These men’s bike shorts are a fantastic combination of comfort, performance, and quality. The material is lightweight, breathable, and does an excellent job of wicking away moisture during long rides. The padding provides great support without feeling bulky, making even extended time in the saddle much more comfortable. The fit is true to size with just the right amount of compression to stay in place without restricting movement. The stitching is durable, the waistband is comfortable, and the fabric feels premium and built to last. I also appreciate that they don’t ride up while cycling. Whether you’re a casual rider or spend serious time on the bike, these shorts offer excellent value for the money. Comfortable, well-made, and designed for performance, they exceeded my expectations and have quickly become my go-to pair for every ride.

Best of the "3 popular Amazon" cycling shorts
Overall these are the best cycling shorts out of the 3 pairs that seem to be the most popular on Amazon (Sponeed, Santic, Pearl izumi). You get really good quality of materials and craftsmanship for the price. Compared to the other 2, it's closest in quality to the Pearl but for less cost. The padding is super nice and comfortable, although it's "4D" and has more padding in certain areas, although if your form is good and you're using your sit bones its not an issue (Pearl is one big pad that's not a thick but you don't have to worry as much about you positioning). These were my only pair for about 3 weeks so the got washed just about every day and are still holding up great. You probably want to order a size down, of if you're on the cusp of two go for the smaller. I'm 5'10" 175 with a 32/34 waist and the L fit perfect and the XL were way to big. The best way to compare the 3 shorts is like cars. The Pearl is the top end luxury model - really nice but more expensive. Sponeed is still the luxury model but just one under the top end - still really nice but minor trade offs for reduced price. Santic is the mid range model - nice and reliable but for a little bit more you get something a lot better. All three are still great and comfortable to use, but overall for pricing, quality, and comfort Sponeed takes the top spot for me. Pros - Price - Lots of padding - Quality materials - Quality craftsmanship - Color selection Cons - Most of the padding is in certain spots - High waisted - Sizing is a little weird

Reasonable quality for price
Padding is good and stays in place. Waist band is reasonably comfortable, does not roll. Compression is not as "firm" as I prefer. Good for short-medium rides, probably not effective for longervrides. I bought two pair, and I opted to keep them. Decent shorts for the price, but next time I will pay the extra for 8 panel shorts with more compression.

Very good shorts for the price. Will buy them again.
Bought these shorts for $38 and am very happy with them. Very good quality materials and construction. But the fit and ride experience is what I am most happy about. I am male, 6 foot and weigh 168 pounds with a 35" waist. I ride a road bike. I bought a large on the recommendation of several reviewers who said that they are sized a bit small and they fit perfectly. Even a good fit on my thin thighs. I was a bit skeptical of the individually formed pads but was delighted at the comfort they provided. My first few rides of the season usually involve some soreness, but I experienced none with these shorts. I can no longer bike all day or do centuries, but on the few one-hour rides that I have done so far, they are quite comfortable. Will definitely buy them again.

Great value, quality, and comfort for the money.
Very pleased and a bit surprised at the quality of these bike shorts. I've ridden road and mountain bikes for my entire life (I'm 66 years old, have done triathlons and bike races) including several 100+ mile days, and understand the importance and feel of quality bike shorts. Compared to the ridiculous cost of name-brand pro bike shorts nowadays, these shorts appears just as well-made as the high-end versions, and include the pockets in key areas that high end shorts often lack. Most of all, the gel chamois pad seems excellent. I was first skeptical it was actually gel, as opposed to dense foam (it doesn't feel "gel-ly") but looking more into the mfg. website and specs and illustrations, the shorts indeed have a thinnish gel LAYER sandwiched between the dense foam layers. The pad is very thick, actually, and I worried a bit too thick and bulky, as any experienced cyclist knows you don't want a cushy seat for long rides, you want low friction. And at first try-on the shorts (i.e. the chamois pad) felt quite boxy and stiff. But a first ride of 40 miles went fine, and a longer 85-mile ride in 95 F heat and hills all day this week was even better as the pad became more worn-in and the new-fabric stiffness of the pad softened up. I used the usual butt-cream skin/chamoix protectant liberally and no undershorts, as is the correct way to use these. You still have to be in good shape, of course, and fancy gel padding will not prevent a sore butt if you are out of conditioning and your butt is not used to the miles. But as I come back into conditioning myself this pair of shorts seems to be a very good value for the cost and quality. I'd buy another pair for sure. Long-term wear and durability undetermined.

Basic. Basically you get what you pay for
Let me get this out of the way, I am not the target consumer for these shorts. I am an avid bicyclist and as such, I've come to appreciate and expect a high degree of performance from myself and my equipment. Who are these shorts for? I think a new or casual rider that isn't used to lycra shorts may find these a good starting point if they are on a budget but even then I would caution that there are better options out there if they can stretch their budget a little bit. I do understand that cycling clothing, like most athleticwear, has become absurdly expensive and that's what makes these a possibly adequate choice. First off, fit, I'm 6'2" and 173lbs, and the medium fits me well. Because of the pricepoint, these lack the more sculpted fit that name-brand shorts (Pearlizumi for example) offer. I think the shorts are based on an older design with a high waist and more simple leg openings. Whereas newer shorts have a lower waist for comfort and wider elastic leg openings, these seem to rely on a design that is fairly outdated. The fabric itself is heavier than one might expect and as a result, the shorts run hotter and are not as well ventilated as I would like. Lets face it, we buy these shorts for the pad, the one here is ok, its not bad and I think most people will be fine with it however the way its sewn into the shorts is less than ideal since it seems like its in a pocket that creates the potential for bunched fabric. From a style perspective, I think that's subjective, I have no complaints. I'm using these shorts for indoor spinning and after a dozen or so rides I can already feel the fabric getting a little loose in the legs, I suspect this is due to the excess fabric of the design. Again, if you're looking for your first pair of cycling shorts and you're on a budget, these may be ok so long as you keep your expectations in check. Personally, I think a pair of Pearlizumis, even at the lower end of their range represents a better investment, but again, sometimes the budget is the budget.

Just buy it. I'm getting a second pair
Bought the NICEWWIN, nice shorts but the padding although the right thickness it was too soft, got a large, fit was good. Bought the SOUKE nice shorts, great padded but after a while on the saddle you feel the spaces between padded areas, this gets better after you wear it a few times. I will buy another pair, I originally got a large and it was a little big so I'll get a medium next go round. The Sponeed was a nice blend of the first two, good padding but not over padded, and is a pleasure to wear. Bought a Medium, fit was good but can't go smaller. I’m 165lbs. 5’ 10” waist 34” thin legs.
