***make sure you YouTube for instructions for proper placement Was so simple to insert, I placed in both of my Goldadores with ease. Gave me a huge bone to keep them still, not even a welp. I had issues registering one of the girls information on some free registry, it was giving me a warning one of the microchip numbers was already registered in their system I contacted Buddy ID via Facebook, to let them know the issues I was having and they redirected me to a pay site. After I entered both girls information, I was having issues with my credit card and called their customer service. They were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend both the product and service. I didn’t mind paying the fee, it’s not yearly like some companies, it’s for the life of your dog as long as you own them. If you rehome any of them, the new owner has to reregister the animals The chip is about the size of a grain of rice and syringe small enough where it doesn’t hurt the animal. If you don’t fell comfortable doing it yourself, do not attempt and bring kit to your Vet. Be advised you will have to pay for the visit and insertion of the chip.

These are SO much better to install
I will NEVER buy the old style microchips again. These are SO much better to install, my small size puppies didn't even whimper! I just gave them a little treat, like usual, and they nibbled on it while the microchip was put in without even seeming to notice. Here's a pic of my Coton de Tulear puppy, happy as a clam even right after insertion. With the older, larger needles, the puppies would yelp during the needle stick, and I'd end up crying by the time I was done with all of them. (I'm a wimp, I know). Awesome, awesome improvement on an already great product.

Extremely easy to implant!
I was a bit apprehensive at first but implanting the chip could not have been easier. I have a small 4 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix and a 3 month old kitten. After watching some tutorials on YouTube and reading a few forums I felt confident enough to inject the chips myself. I gave my dog a treat to snack on while I prepared to inject her and she didn't even notice when the chip went in! My cat did notice, however, but he only mewed in shock and by that time the needle was already out. I tested both chips and they work flawlessly! Rather than registering with BuddyID (which, admittedly, has some cool features given the additional fees) you can register your chip for free at foundanimals.org or freepetchipregistry.com. You can then test to make sure the registry is working by inputting the chip number into petmicrochiplookup.org; a website dedicated to automatically databasing microchips across most standards.

Easy to use; Good price
This is easy to inject into your dog if u watch a couple youtube instruction videos and go slowly and carefully. I don't think my dog even felt it. It was certainly much cheaper to do myself than pay my vet who would've charged me a lot more. I have gone to mobile vaxx clinics and their scanners always detect it so it works fine. I registered it for free with a free registration site I found online. You have to register the microchip or whoever finds your dog won't be able to trace it to u with your contact info. Just google free microchip registration sites and it should come up. I have no issues with this item. The chip and needle are small and it shouldn't hurt them much if at all if u watch some instruction videos and do it right.

Perfect!!
These aew perfect!! We have 2 English Bull terrier puppies and ordered these because of the smaller size. The fact that it comes with 6 microchip ID stickers makes it easier to keep track. Our vet kept one for his records and we have several left to attach to the pups documents. They came extremely fast and packaged well with a pet id tag with the microchip ID included. Great price!!!

I thought perhaps it would work better once it was in the dog
This microchip did not work properly. I tested it with a scanner before putting it in the dog and the scanner read it only after being held over the chip for about 15 - 20 seconds. I thought perhaps it would work better once it was in the dog. My mistake. Once it was in the dog the scanner did not read it at all no longer how long I held the scanner over it. The problem is not with my scanner either, as it quickly read 2 other brands of microchips with in 1 second.

Worked great. Registered with freepetchipregistry.com
I was willing to gamble to try this product based on so many successful stories in the comments. They are totally right! Insertion was simple. Rather petite cat meowed, but didn't freak out or hide for the rest of the day, so I'm inclined to think she was mostly bothered by me grabbing her and the initial prick of the needle. Cutting her nails results in more drama! : ) Registration on freepetchipregistry.com was a breeze. Kept some stickers (6 are supplied) for my records. Sent some to our vet for the cat's records. Done!

The cats that were easy to do hardly noticed that I had done anything
I applied 8 of these chips to my cats. It was a breeze to do on some of them and difficult on others. I don’t know if it had to do with my technique or the needle sharpness or the kind of skin the cats have. The difficulty had to do with not being able to get the needle through the skin of some of the cats. The chips came with instructions, I checked all of them with a reader before applying them to the cats in order to make sure they were operating correctly. All 8 of them were working. The cats that were easy to do hardly noticed that I had done anything. The others experienced a little pain due to the amount of force it took to get the needle through the skin. I was able to do the procedure entirely by myself. I was hesitant to try it but I have given many subcutaneous injections before and this operation was not much different. It wil be interesting to see if I injected the chips in the right way so that they don’t migrate. The reader needed to be about nearly on top of the chips and not far from the skin in order to read the chips. I’m not complaining. I’m just sharing my experience for the sake of helping others have success or to decide whether they want to do it themselves or have a vet do it,
