First Time Tablet User
For of all when I thought of getting a tablet, I expected to draw with ease and not have to use a mouse to do all the nice and fine edges. Since this was my first time dealing with one I thought to myself, I should probably look for a "cheap" one to get me started. So after searching on Amazon, I came upon 2 Digi Pro Tablets. The 3x4 and the 5.5x4. After awhile of thinking I went with the 5.5x4 since I really wanted to get a bigger screen, since I had to go by the internet pictures. After using this product for 3 days tops, I got the hang of all the features. It was a great experience too. The product comes with 3 extra pen tips, 1 AAA batteries,CD driver, guide book, Tablet & Pen(obviously). The only thing I didn't expect to spend my time on was the driver download because I don't have a driver disc on my laptop. It took me awhile to find the driver for this Tablet, DigiPro no longer has a website for a reason I don't know. I also had to find another driver, so I could use the buttons(hot cells) on the tablet. Over all after all the downloading was done I got to finally use the tablet. If you have a netbook(laptop with a small screen) like me drawing will be enjoyable. The hot cells really work great because you can set any action for them except "Ctrl+Alt+Del". Only other unappealing thing is the 2 buttons on the pen don't have custom hot cells on them. The pen feels normal, but sometimes the buttons get in the way. The box they provide you with is a nice counter to set your tablet on while drawing. Overall I gave this a 5/5 because it is cheap & nice and easy to use. This tablet is also a good replacement for a mouse. If I wanted to give someone a gift, it would be this. I would buy this over again just because the product feels like it is worth everything. I have yet to discover what makes the Bambo tablets so nice. Otherwise all artists should use this for the first time. Don't forget to grab some rechargeable batteries if you want to use this for a long time.

Not Wacom but okay
If you can't afford a Wacom tablet, this is a good alternative. My Wacom was too old to work with Windows 7 and I really couldn't afford a new one. The DigiPro installed easily and seems to be working fine. It definitely is not as good as Wacom, but not everybody can afford the best. The software seems to work well and allows for fine adjustment of touch and buttons. If you've just learning or on a tight budget, this will certainly work. Keep in mind it does require a battery for the pen, which may or may not turn into a problem. I haven't had it long enough to find that out. If you have kids, this would be a great idea for them as long as they don't bang on the tip. It does come with three spare tips but, again, I haven't had it long enough to know how long each tip will last. One warning-support is very limited. The DigiPro site is in China and there is no way to register your tablet. I tried to contact them to ask about registering the tablet but kept getting a message "All connections busy". I tried their email contact and just kept getting the message "Your email not sent". Still, the product is worth the low cost and will at least get you started.

Just works. That's all I wanted!
Product arrived on time, installed drivers from the CD (looked for them online and couldnt find the "latest" ones) and running windows 7 this thing works amazing! I am a college student and dont like using paper. I wanted something to write my math work into my windows onenote program and when i tried using this its extremely accurate, has some hot keys around the main board to easily edit things and switch between windows. I can navigate my entire computer with this tablet. It just works and comes with some fun little programs for presentation and sending written emails. the unit itself feels a little solid, although the pen feels just as cheap and flimsy as any old dollar store pen. I would recommend getting rechargeable AAA batteries for the pen so you never run out. the unit is small enough to fit in a briefcase or a bag. pen turns off automatically to save battery life (as long as you dont touch the tip). For the price, this unit looked like a terrible quality item, but out of the box, I think this was better than a bamboo tablet for triple the price! The tablet feels so sturdy, nice and flat, that i can actually use my wireless laser mouse on it as a mousepad. All-in-all, i've bought a lot of garbage products in the past, but I won't regret this unit. I highly recommend it! Very compatible with any program (for simple features). also has a mouse right click and middle click button on the pen (useful for moving the page and an assortment of other commands). Don't hesitate! Buy this tablet! Really worth it for the great price!

Well, It Worked for All of About Ten Minutes...
My tablet was working for about ten minutes before the pen just stopped working. I tried changing the battery, and then it worked for a bit longer before it stopped working again. So I changed the tip, right? Again, it worked for a short period time, and then stopped, AGAIN. Now it won't work at all. I'm not sure how this product got so many good reviews, you all must have reviewed right after getting it. I now understand why this product is so cheap, it has a pen that never works no matter what you do. The tablet is clearly connected to my laptop, but the pen doesn't do anything! Thanks for ripping me off twenty six dollars of my birthday money.

Nice little pen/tablet
This review is highly Macintosh centric. I'm writing it because finding MacOS info for a product not specifically aimed at Mac users is often difficult. I got the tablet today, and had no trouble getting it set up and working perfectly on my old Mac G4 tower, using the included CD - didn't even have to go online to get the Mac driver. Works with one of the USB 1 ports, and in fact even works plugged into the hub on my keyboard. Works fine with Inkwell (Ink), Apple's handwriting recognition software. Tablet requires at least OSX 10.4.11, according to the documentation - I'm running 10.5.8 For the Pros/Cons, I'm doing my best to NOT compare this to other tablets. Let's face it, it's relatively small and cheap. Based on knowing that, here's what I've observed. Pros: - Inexpensive. - Has really good configurability. You can set functions for both buttons on the pen, as well as for the "Hot Buttons" along the edges of the tablet. All of the hot buttons I tried with default functions did what they were supposed to with OSX. That's notable, since it's clearly a Windows-centric product (it even has an Internet Explorer button.) - Pressure sensitivity seems good (I'm not an artist, though.) - Accuracy is very good given the tablet's small size versus my monitor's 1600x900 resolution. - They included extra pen tips! Cons: - Pen feels kind of flimsy. - Pen needs one AAA battery (not a huge con.) - Worst thing about the pen needing a battery is that it could easily be damaged during battery replacement due to the design. - Documentation isn't that great - it mostly refers to an entirely different model. If you're OK with the size of the thing, it's great for the price. I'd have given it 5 stars if the pen didn't make me a little nervous.

This thing is built from compressed sewage by a company that never existed. There are no current drivers. Welcome to hell.
I'm not sure if this item is still being sold, but if it is then it is a certifiable miracle as there is no evidence that a company named DigiPro exists. They have no website, which means you won't be updating your drivers... ever. Not a huge deal, if the hardware was made by a company, but since it appears to be a random assemblage of scrap electronics harvested from a landfill in mainland China, the generic drivers cause frequent problems. If you are buying this to help you out in a program like ZBrush, forget about it. Specifically in ZBrush, even having this thing installed but not plugged in will make the program impossible to use. I'm giving it a generous two stars because, yes, in most (but not all) cases you can open up Photoshop and use it to draw lines. If that's all you are looking for (and at this price point, it's really all you can reasonably expect) then this is the tablet for you. In other words, if you're curious about what it's like to drive a car but you don't want to make a huge investment, go buy a $250 rust-eaten 1988 Chevy Celebrity with a burned out clutch and no brakes. You'll come to understand that a car is a thing with four wheels that uses gas to go forward. Maybe you'll be enchanted enough with that idea to get a real one, or maybe you'll decide you'd rather bike. If you're about curious what a graphics tablet does, buy this shoddy caricature, this final and damning indictment of godless Chinese communism: it's a little thing with a plastic pen that lets you draw lines (if the circumstances are absolutely perfect). If that's your cup of tea then you can upgrade to a tablet for grown-ups like a Wacom, if not you're only out $30 and you can stick to your mouse.

Better than expected for the price | Good with opensource software
Good tablet. If it cost twice as much I would of given it a lower rating or likely gone with the Wacom Bamboo Splash. Good for a hobbyist that wants tablet input without spending much. I don't plan on using it a lot but it is nice to have another option for input. Pros+/Cons- +Inexpensive +Accurate +Sensitive pressure +Not Lagging +Recently updated drivers +works with windows 8 -Cheap plastic feel -Battery powered pen -Pen twice as heavy as wacom -Pen button can stick -No eraser -Drivers may not be as reliable as wacom Hardware: Note the included AAA battery is in a hard to see plastic sleeve be sure to remove it. Pen is like a big ballpoint pen. It is heavier than a wacom but still not a big issue. Base has plastic feel. Pen contact feels like a pen on glossy/wax paper thankfully not too slick like glass. I found that the pen button was sticking a bit but fixed it by putting a drop of oil on my finger and rubbing it around the button. The pen slot is on the center of the top of the tablet not separate as pictured. I'd prefer it be separate as I place it in front of my keyboard but I can just place the pen aside. Setup: I recommend ignoring the CD and GO TO uc-logic.com to the support section to get the latest driver software. I was pleased to find it was updated May 2013, a few days before I received the tablet! The installer did crash after installing so I had to force close it. RESTART after or pressure won't work. A good amount of Settings can be found but clicking the tablet button in the system tray. To get the maximum surface area and avoid annoyances I recommend doing the following: In settings go into hot cells and disabling all of them, if using a widescreen you may want to keep it on top on bottom since the space is otherwise wasted. Then go into the Scope tab and select Full Area(allows you to go all the way to the edges) AND then press Screen Ratio(to avoid distortion caused by mismatch aspect ratios). I also recommend looking over Monitor Setting if interested in isolating the tablet to a small part of the screen. Drawing: Has a nice smooth feel on screen. My worry was lag but didn't notice any. It is a bit awkward compared to drawing on paper looking at the screen but that is true of most graphic tablets. Pressure works well. Lacks tilt but can't expect it. Software: Note that this uses the UC Logic driver and pressure may not work with some programs, but should work in all apps with mouse support sans pressure. Fortunately the recent drivers means it likely won't be abandoned with bad drivers. I am using 64-bit Windows 8 without issues with software, a few I needed to google to find tips/solutions. I avoided the included programs and found it odd they didn't include a graphics/drawing app but instead focused on productivity apps when I'm guessing 95% of people getting this are using it for graphic arts. A lot of productivity apps have pen annotation built in and the windows 7/8 snipping tool is good for annotating screen shots. If having issues with software try restarting your pc. Works good with these FREE opensource programs: Gimp 2.6.11(AVOID version 2.8 for now, currently has issues with tablets) Mypaint 32-bit(couldn't get the 64-bit version to work) Inkscape (Works good with the calligraphy pen and tweak tool) Blender (Handy for 3d sculpting)

Groovy, nifty - great buy!
Greetings, I'm a graphics arts and media professional having executed all kinds and levels of fun and successful projects for the last 25 years or more. I have never used (though have owned) a tablet before, and not sure why. Just never needed it I guess. Recently, I've been frustrated drawing caricatures and things by hand, then digitizing and cleaning them up or struggling over line thickness, smoothness etc. Believe it or not, on a Win 7 system, I'm still running Corel Graphics 6 (1995) and Photoshop 6 (2003ish) and the tablet works perfectly. In making a purchase choice, this item created some interesting reflection and consideration - given the wide array of tablets and prices, but I wanted something small, entry level and simple, that would allow me to draw and create more easily. This product is, quite frankly, all that and more, and quite the hoot to have. I love it. More, the on-board applications, which do NOT match the manual at all, allow me to use it live in a kids presentation show, either as a mouse, a full, opaque drawing tablet, or to annotate nearly anything on or in the screen. The only exception is animations, video and any program that uses the video layer - which is understandable. For these...it seamlessly grabs a still shot of the screen, allowing you to annotate while the video plays behind the scenes. Otherwise, it is fully functional - amazing. The size is great, fits well on the left, my wireless mouse on the right (I'm left handed so this is REALLY COOL) and my computer supports both...so I can draw and create with the left, and use the mouse simultaneously to click, save, etc. VERY COOL and productive. The only drawback I see, is the manual (not proper English or close, and barely correlative with the disc and product), but it gets you through. Oh, two others....the pen is touchy. If you're annotating and either touch the tip and pen switches to close or in succession, the program crashes. NOT COOL depending on what you're in the middle of...and there does NOT seem to be an adjustment. Also, the pen could use a power switch to save battery. At first, I laid it on the side - but always worried I was jostling it and wearing down the battery by waking the unit up. Then, I tried putting it upside down in the on-board pen well, but it fits poorly. Finally, after giving that the proper thought, I saw the pen well had a recess for the pen tip - so contrary to all the OTHER posts and my efforts, I've now found that that's EXACTLY what you do...put the pen in the pen well. It hasn't turned on or run down yet. Why none of us reviewing got that, I don't know, lol. So, it's way cool! Cannot BEAT the price or features. Supercalifragilisticexpialladocious!
