Great series for a piano student
This is a great series for piano instruction. We are on our third piano instructor over the course of 5 years and all of them have used this series for their lessons.

Excellent companion to the lesson book!
I really like the Faber piano series- the lesson and theory books go hand in hand, and help explain the concepts to the beginning student.

Great!
Best for all ages, my students like Bastien at least as well as Faber and Alfreds, probably better. Bastien introduces music better from what I've seen comparing the three series. My students get thru Bastien material faster than Alfreds and Faber. I don't think Bastien is easier - but it builds, preparing students for what is coming more effectively.

Good practice book
We bought this for our kids (mediocre piano players) and they love it. It is not too difficult that they want to keep practicing.

engaging theory for young learners
As a parent and piano teacher, Iโm always looking for tools that make learning enjoyable and effective. This theory book has been a great addition to my sonโs piano lessons. Itโs designed in a way that makes theory less intimidating, which is something I was worried about when we first started exploring music theory. The improvisation activities are one aspect that particularly catches my attention. When it comes to playing the piano, they truly provide my son a sense of creative release. He is encouraged to experiment with his own musical ideas rather than merely following the sheet music. He is now more eager to learn and play the piano outside of his scheduled lessons as a result of this. The design of the book is simple, but itโs clear that itโs been thoughtfully put together. The layout makes it easy to follow, and I appreciate that each section builds on the one before. Iโve seen a lot of theory books that feel disconnected or hard to navigate, but this one flows naturally, and my son doesnโt get overwhelmed by the content.Overall, my son's piano training has benefited greatly from this theory book. It keeps him interested, allows him to be creative, and reinforces the lessons he's learning in an enjoyable and useful way. This book does a fantastic job of making theory feel less like a chore if that's what you're looking for.

Must Have
This theory book, as well as all the other ones accompanying the other levels, really are a huge added bonus to this series. The theory book follows the lesson book perfectly, unit by unit, allowing the student and teacher to reinforce what is being taught and played. The pages give the student the opportunity to work through and write out what is being performed on the piano in worksheet style. It allows for better comprehension and retention. The composing activities really bring out the lessons as well as allowing creativity to develop in the student. It also helps build the student's musical term vocabulary. Music Theory is its own separate part of studying music that completes the learning process. This book is well worth the 6 bucks!

Very nice quality
Nice book for my daughter
User
Well written and well structured
This theory book goes alongside the lesson book and others at this level. Well written and well structured as all of the Faber piano books are. Used with the lesson book (clear links are given) it supports and enhances what you are playing by giving a deeper understanding in context.

Great book
We follow the Piano Adventures book series from Level 1. Level 3A has a good progress of her learning. She enjoyed so much of the famous songs. It has a great varieties of different styles of songs. It helps her to explore the language of music and the feeling of the songs. She always pretends to be soldiers when she played 'March Slav'. She played so softly and asked us to sleep when she played 'Morning' as she thinks it is a song for relaxation. The greatest part was the last two songs of the book. She even asked me to look for the longer version of 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik' as she loved the melody so much. We have a lot of funs!
