I bought this to replace the dead battery in my ti84 and it worked perfectly, just came low on battery so make sure to have a charger in case.

I bought a brand new TI-84 Plus CE and the os message was never stop when plugged in to charge. And the calculator won't turn on when unplugged. I did some Google and followed the reset process, still didn't work. I saw someone said replacing the battery worked for them then i tried. This battery fits well, easy to install and of course saved me a trip to another to purchase another calculator.

My son’s TI calculator arrived doa with a software issue. We read that replacing the battery could correct the problem as TI was shipping them with defective batteries. This one DID resolve that problem and the calculator started to work. No opinion on the battery life yet though, haven’t had it long enough.

We thought we’d have to buy a new calculator and just changing the battery did the trick!
