Q: Does this item include the bar and hand grip?

Okay the part you see is what you get, the product is very sturdy and heavy construction, very well built.See the shaft well you have to buy the part for the shaft to be stabilized and it also is made of the same heavy construction. The entire set up is around 300.00. My mother was not strong enough to pull herself up so I had to return it, boy was that a fiasco re packing it and you have to pay a restocking fee and one piece you have to pay mailing fees. It's a very well built YEP you can tell the materials used is worth the 300.00 but be sure the person will be able to actually use it.

Q: How does this bar attach to the bed? I have a wooden frame and was hoping I could attach this bar to it with screws.

Bar attached with clamp on top and bottom of headboard. Needs a solid headboard which can be several inches wide. Hard to envision a system with screws that would be solid enough to support any weight on trapeze

Q: is this an item I can use to help an 86 year old person move to the center of a queen bed,has no mobility i swing her legs in but can't get her center

If she has medium to strong arms she could probably get herself over. Even if she could just pull herself up a little you could manage to get her rear over to the center. My husband was strong in one arm and pulled himself up in the bed. He was paralyzed on the left side. Hope this helps you decide.
