The next day I put together another item I ordered from desertcart from a different maker. Wow, day and night, I really struggled to assemble this piece, there were gaps and I had to use some of the extra screws that came with the Yaheetech kitchen island as I stripped out some of the screws trying to get them in. The drop down leaf has two wooden supports on either end of it to avoid the risk of drooping overtime, like many center metal leave bars tend to do. I have wanted to have a remodel in my kitchen to add a breakfast bar, but the cost is too high. This was my alternative and it does not disappoint. I have had several compliments on the island and have actually had a few folks ask me for the desertcart link to purchase for themselves. It was a bit of a bear to put together. It took me about 3-4 hours to assemble, but I was working alone and tending to a playful puppy who kept stealing the directs. It came packaged well. there was lots of padding in the box to ensure no damage occurred during shipping. The only tool needed to assemble was a screwdriver. All other tools and hardware came with it. It actually included extras of each screw, bolt, and dowel which was great. The wood on top is super flawless and smooth. I didn't like that it was so many pieces to put together(2 large boxes worth). I'd pay $30 more if it was assembled. And I would've given 5 stars if it was even (partially) assembled! I bought it knowing it wasnt, but thankfully my husband tackled most of it. Other issue is the wheels "lock" but it still moves around, so buying an area rug for under it. Overall it really improves my kitchen's look, I have a small kitchen!
