I make potato wedges and as a result find foil and parchment paper insufficient as the wedges stick to them. This is so smooth and easy to clean it makes cooking them a dream. Useful for cookies, brownies, candied peaches.......seriously don't get the imposters we get in England. Get the best, get SILPAT! *issues lord Falconer's point and moustache*

Some one once said, if you want something decent you have to pay that little extra, and this is no exception far better quality then the set of three I brought from other on line place - naming no names - and easier to keep clean to.

I have wanted a Silpat mat for so long and I've finally bought one. I don't regret it - it's perfect and my cakes and macarons (and other lovely bakes) have turned out wonderful whenever I've used this. Plus, I've cut down on the amount of baking paper that I've had to buy!

Nothing sticks to my Silpat - and it allows food to cook evenly without the fuss . I use various sizes to bake bread, slow roast chicken, make cookies, toast nuts, roast vegetables - the list is endless. I've had these for 10 years, use them every week and they look the same as when I first purchased them on Amazon. These are the originals that are made and imported from France. The photos show pre-bake, out of the oven and rolls removed with nothing to clean-up!! Tips: • Store in Paper Towel cardboard tubes or sandwich in between your oven pans • Wipe with a dry paper towel after usage to reduce "slippery" feel • Use two overlapping Silpats for long loaves like baguettes and Pan Cubano • Do not use knives to cut on these as it will damage the surface • DO NOT purchase the Chinese Knock-Offs. Think "Artisan" Pro: • Nothing sticks and you won't have ruined breads and cookies from sticking • Saves you time since you don't have to cut parchment or grease a pan • Saves you money with each use, since its reusable and it's better for the environment • Great results with even cooking and browning • Easy to clean with a quick rinse or with soap and water Con: • Silicon surface feels "oily" even after washing/drying These are truly a "Kitchen Essential" and you should own a size for every oven ready pan you own!
