Super simple plug and play component.
Just insert the cables into the corresponding plugs on the mother board and you can access the super fast transfers from the front panel of your PC case. It fits fine for me no issues of any kind.

Good Quality Front Panel USB Hub
Lost two top panel USB 2.0 ports on my PC when I upgraded it with a new motherboard. The new motherboard does not have enough USB 2.0 headers but does have a 3.0 header which requires an external hub like this. Very happy to find it on Amazon at a very reasonable price. It fits in the front 2.5" bay perfectly and with its good build quality, it looks nice too. Not only did I get the lost USB ports back, they are now USB 3.0 instead of 2.0. Tested with external USB 3.0 hard drive, it performed flawlessly.

Added 3 USB Ports
It is very handy to have additional front panel USB ports and I appreciate the speed of the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. This installs easily in a 3.5" opening in my mid tower case. It runs perfectly with Windows 11 installing the drivers on boot up. My one problem was that one of the two USB 19/20 pin sockets on the motherboard was already occupied by front panel USB ports and the other one on the motherboard was at right angles (parallel to the motherboard). I am sure that is done to clear the GPUs. However, the MB is in an indent in the case structure and the 19/20 plug would not clear the case when plugged in. Amazon to the rescue - I bought a PCI - E card with two sockets for 19/20 pin USB cables. The Graugear board had a long enough cable to reach the card at the back of the case and I was good to go. I hope this helps others installing this USB expansion

This item is great, but be careful
For this brand, avoid their items that contain little circuit boards to direct signals. Those often fail on Graugear items. In both of my cases, DOA. But this Graugear item has direct connect end to end cables and nothing more, nothing fancy. This item has worked fine for me.

Nice looking, very handy USB Hub
This fits easily into a 3.5" drive bay in my old tower case. The down side is the new motherboard does not have a USB-C port so I have an adapter to allow the USB-C connector to connect to a USB 3.2 port on the motherboard. Not the fault of the front panel USB hub.

Thicc, Powerful, and the USB-C cable will hit 20Gbps if it connects to the right header.
I can' t begin to say at how happy I was with this product. With brands that sound rather foreign (Graugear sounds more like a monster from the Final Fantasy series) you read a lot of reviews, and sometimes there just isn't quite enough to make you feel confident to take the plunge. I used another bit of aluminum kit to adapt this to a 5.25" bay and plugged in. Everything worked the very first time, and the cables themselves feel very high quality. Speeds on all the ports work beautifully, I've used the USB-A ports to run audio from my Elektron Digitakt and it works great! I don't do 5 star reviews very frequently, but this one is simply too good not to award.

High Performance USB3.2 Gen 2x2
I purchased this to use with a new motherboard in an old case. I have a decades old Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case that I still love (despite its old school cable management), but the original front panel has only USB-A 2.0 connectivity. The case also has only 5.25" bays in front, so a 5.25" to 3.5" adapter was used to install the front panel. (Graugear also sells a version of this front panel already installed in a 5.25" adapter, which I wasn't aware of at the time of purchase.) The new motherboard has an on-board USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connector to which the front panel USB-C port connector is attached. I recently acquired a Sandisk Extreme 1TB Portable SSD that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, and Crystal DiskMark reports a 1.975 GB/s sequential read speed when connected through the Graugear USB-C front panel connector. While the theoretical transfer rate is 20 GB/s, the actual maximum data transfer rate is limited by USB transfer overhead to about 2.5 GB/s. The Sandisk Extreme SSD specifies a 2 GB/s max sequential read speed. This Graugear front panel looks nice, performs well and is inexpensive. I'm not sure why they call it a USB Hub, because it appears to have only cables and connectors that extend two USB-A ports and one USB-C port from the main board to the front panel. This is exactly what I was looking for, as opposed to an active hub that could add latency and limit performance. I've been using this front panel for several months now and have been very happy with its appearance, performance and reliability. Nice product.

Love it
The USB3 ports on my desktop were wonky - hit and miss. Sometimes they worked, sometimes not. And I didn't even have a USB-C port. I paired this front panel hub with a USB riser card and now I have reliable ports. And I LOVE having a USB-C port. The hub is solidly built; the cables are stout; the connectors are solid. Great product.

Good, maybe with usb-c issue
Practical, good fit, but could never make the usb-c work with my motherboard. No regret though for the other usb 3 ports!

High quality built and work as expected.
Received the item on time and is as expected. The item seem like high quality built of metal/aluminum. Installed into my mid ATX tower case and the there is enough cable from to top slot on the case to the motherboard's internal usb 3 connector. The speed is good for USB 3 as moving/copying files from external usb hard drive to internal SSD consistent of 125 MB/s transfer rate. Coping/moving files from internal SSD to external USB HD (5400 RPM) is speed around 75-80 MB/s due to slower write speed of the external hard drive. Not yet test USB C because I don't have any UBC C device. So far I am happy with the item and it is worked as advertised.

Giving old PC casing access to front panel USB-C!
This device is expansive but worth it. All metal construction and adds 2 USB-3 and 1 USB-C ports to the front of my old but highly functional PC casing! Awesome!
