And can you adjust the volume?** A: Yes you can turn the video off and still use the sound. Then just hit a button to turn the video back if you need to. Great feature to help keep the room dark while sleeping. You can also control the volume and pan the camera from the video unit. **Q: How's the range?** A: Had this monitor for a year now and all of a sudden every night it goes off like crazy with out of range beeping! So annoyed! It use to only go off every once and awhile which was more easy to deal with but It’s been waking me up consistently every night for the last three nights. I’m a light sleeper as is but the beeping would wake anyone I feel. My daughters crib is only 30 feet or so from our room! So I was shocked when I saw that it had a so called 900 ft range!
