These work perfectly for a tummy tuck scar if you alter them a bit and prep your skin properly!
The trick to these things is knowing how to use them properly. It took me two whole sheets to figure it out. I used these for a long tummy tuck scar on my lower abdomen. At first I followed the directions and used an entire rectangle. The bandage did not stay on long and started peeling off around edges like other people said in their reviews. The first round lasted about 3 days. I thought, “Wow! That’s expensive and doesn’t last long but maybe if I alter how I’m using them and prep my skin more aggressively they’ll stay on longer.” So I did, and then they worked perfectly! I’m starting my 6th week of treatment and boy am I glad I stuck with it because my tt scar looks amazing! (Side note, I also used the little square embrace bandages for my new belly button which was starting to scar slightly around edges) So this is what I did to make it work for me. First I clean the area in the shower with straight up soap and water and rub with a wash cloth gently. Then when I get out of shower I don’t touch any lotions or oils and immediately use a thin, baby wash cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the area where the bandage will go. Then I pluck any hairs I see that the silicon bandage may go over. Then I use rubbing alcohol again all over and even my hands before handling the bandages. I clean a pair of sharp scissors with the rubbing alcohol as well and use the scissors to then cut the large bandages in half lengthwise. I stand up straight and let my belly be relaxed. Next, I peel off one half and put on the middle part of my scar first, pulling it taught but not too much. Once I have it where I want I press down with my hand and rub along the strip and apply pressure all over it till it has completely adhered to my skin. Then I do it again on one side, overlapping slightly. Lastly, I cut another strip in half and only use one half to complete the coverage on the other side of my scar. So you’ll end up with two, 10 day treatments in one box for one very long tummy tuck scar. This process works so well I think the silicon bandages would actually stay on a lot longer than 10 days but I always peel them off on day 10 and let my skin breath for 12 to 24 hours. I also moisturize the area during that time as well. So basically these things are awesome if you figure out how to use them right! I guess it might be different for people with other types of scars but it worked for me and my tt scar! Good luck!

Do not recommend!
Followed instructions for my c-section scar (3 weeks post-op) and the silicone strip seemed to be affixed well with no issue for the first 2-3 days and then I noticed some redness of my incision after it was in place for 5 days (packaging recommends to stay on for 10 days!) and while it was still adhered around some of the edges (and very challenging and painful to remove), the strip had lifted in the middle and moisture got trapped around my incision. Due to the nature of a c-section incision and sensory nerves being affected, I didn’t notice / feel any issue and not sure how long it had been like this. The risk of infection and worsening of the appearance of the incision is not worth it. Huge waste of money and terrified that my incision may be infected… still observing.

Does not last 10 days! Lasts 2 days.
This would be a good product if the manufacturers were realistic and included 15 patches for a 30-day supply. 3 patches for 30 days is a scam. Also, my skin became irritated, red, blistered, and very itchy.

4 days at the beach without any problems of coming off!
I was reluctant to purchase this because of the reviews however with my doctors recommendation I went through with the purchase. I’m not sure why everyone is having such a problem with them not staying on. I followed the exact instructions and went to the embrace website to watch the “how to” video as well just to make sure I did it right. I only ordered one box (the 30 day supply) just to make sure I didn’t have problems with the item not sticking or allergies to it, etc. My husband applied all 3 of the sheets for me, I had surgery and needed all of them at once. We actually went on vacation day 6 of the first treatment and after 4 days of the beach, pool and hot tub I thought for sure they would need to be replaced before we got home. They stayed in place and I ended up wearing them for 11 days total before switching them out. I’m on my second 10 day application and after my follow up this AM my surgeon said I was healing exceptionally well and my scars look amazing compared to hundreds of “before/after photos” of other patients at this stage in my process so I will continue to use these! I did forget to take photos before starting the first 10 days of Embrace but I took photos prior to the 2nd round so I will update this review every 10 days with photos. This is an expensive product but my thought process was if I was willing to spend 10k on surgery I needed to give the same amount of effort on my new scars. All in all using this product for 8 weeks is only 1/4 of the cost that I was quoted for treatment of the scar at my one year mark. I would recommend doing the math, research and talking to your surgeon to figure out what the best option is for you financially. Hope this helps

I found the pads a bit hard to place as you cannot see where you are placing them before they are on and you u can’t move them. There is a black line guide but as with my scar it is not in a straight line. They stick very well, and are super comfortable. Just started using them so will have to check back and review the outcome in three months

Terrible. Have used before and not had any problems, but this one fell off in one day.

I followed the instructions including the use of using alcohol swabs pre application to remove any oils off the skin. This product not only started peeling off almost immediately, but also started to give me a rash. The product was in the garbage on day 3. The sellers response was since the box was opened there were no refunds. Don’t waste your money!!
