Okay for solvents? I need something that will work for CA glue activator.

That's what I use them for too. But be warned the activator evaporates quickly even in the bottle. I recommend after use put the bottle in a ziplock bag

What is the neck size if these bottles?

About half an inch approximately. It sprays well. Convenient for daily outside routine hygiene or disinfecting use. Will fit well for ladies inside their purses. I carry mine in my pocket everywhere I go.

Is there any metal in the spray cap that could come in to contact with the liquid?

The sprayer mechanism is a push button style and clearly contains a metal spring between the liquid source and the final spray nozzle. Would have included a pic as attachment but cannot do so in this message format. Suggest look at alternate product at https://www.amazon.com/Glass-Spray-Bottle-Refillable-Aromatherapy/dp/B00MBWBF7M/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B00MBWBF7M&psc=1. It is a trigger style glass bottle sprayer, not a thumb button push style, and may be a metal free spray mechanism. Have AMZN or customer contact "Sally's Organic Store" to confirm.

Add says no essential oils? Do we know why?

It says this in the description: “The spray nozzle is not suitable for dense liquids, such as olive oil, thick essential oil, dense liquids can clog the sprayer and cause the sprayer not work.“ However, I mixed essential oils with rubbing alcohol for a room/fabric spray and have had no issues with it
