Great Price, Great Hold – A Classic Pomade That Gets the Job Done!
Ardell Three Flowers Brilliantine Pomade is a solid, reliable product that works exactly as it should. For the price, you really can't beat the quality. The pomade has a smooth consistency, making it easy to apply and style with. It gives my hair a nice, natural hold without feeling too heavy or greasy, and it keeps everything in place throughout the day. The light, classic scent is a bonus – subtle but pleasant. Whether I’m going for a sleek, polished look or just taming flyaways, this pomade does the job perfectly. It’s a no-fuss, dependable product at a great price. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good, affordable hair pomade!

I've been using this for years.
Love this stuff. It's keeps my beard hairs from flying away. Keeps them laying flat without being greasy. And it smells great.

Nice Product!
Tres Flores Brilliantine: a hair product with a history of giving folks shiny, manageable locks. The packaging is kind of old school, but not what I’d call “vintage.” It’s a translucent, plastic tub with a green lid. Very utilitarian, but then what we’re after is the product and not the packaging. Tres Flores reminds me very much of Royal Crown Hair Dressing, in terms of applicability, result, and scent. RC smells to me like roses, while Tres Flores has the scent of light lavender. Tres Flores smells a little stronger, though. It has the consistency of Vaseline and it goes into the hair very easily. It combs through easily and provides a high shine-light hold. My hair is fine and short, and the product gives my classic side part a wet look all day, with enough hold to keep my quiff in place. YMMV if you have different consistency of hair. I don’t believe this product would hold a pompadour all by itself. Tres Flores is delightfully inexpensive; I paid a little over $4 for the jar. Whenever I have used it (I rotate products), it has not left a residue on my pillow, and it has washed out of my hair easily the next morning — just run a dab of Groom & Clean through your hair and let sit for about 10 minutes, then hop in the shower and shampoo/rinse once. All traces gone. If your hair is long and you use a lot of product, it might take more work to get it out. All in all, Tres Flores does what it was designed to do. Yes, it will leave your hands greasy when you apply it. Simply wipe off your hands on a towel, and the grease will fade after a few minutes. Yes, it will make your hair shiny; that’s what a brilliantine is designed to do. Yes, it will provide light hold. I’ve seen some negative reviews comparing this product to a modern, water-based pomade. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. They’re both fruit, but don’t buy an orange expecting it to act like an apple. This product does what it was designed to do, it does it very well, and it does it on the cheap. Tres Flores has become a regular in my rotation. It gives the the look I want, and it does so in an old school fashion, without putting dread into my piggy bank. I’ll keep buying as long as they keep making.

Good hold but smell is way too much.
Great hold but the fragrance is overwhelming. It will steal the scent from your cologne. I don't reccomend it.

Simplicity and style in a Jar
This hair treatment is not for people who want spikes, mowhawk, flat top ex. This hair treatment is made for combing your hair back (slicking) or if you want to part your hair. It will hold either one of these all day with a finger tip full. Maybe a bit more if you have allot of hair and want it to lay flatter. 1. You DO NOT need a hand full. A finger tip full should do fine. 2. It should be worked into damp hair not soaking wet because it works against the treatment and if you go dry it is to hard to get it into your hair. Notice I said into not onto. You want to rub the treatment on both your hands and run your hands vigorously through your hair. DO NOT just smush it ontop of your hair because it won't hold right otherwise. 3. This treatment DOES NOT wash out with shampoo. Unless you want to wash and rinse your hair 3 times at least. You need to use a hand soap or dish soap like dawn if you want to get it out in one go. But if you do one wash with regular shampoo once your hair will have some left in after so you just use a but less when you style. Overall: The treatment smells good. It is not an overpowering smell more like a lotion or an after shave. It is something other people should smell when close to you not 10 feet away. This is something people never learn with body spray. I have had a few people ask me at grocery stores and at the movies what I was wearing. Most mould not believe until they smelled my hair that it was a hair treatment. It's better than a gel or spray for the above mentioned hair styles because it does not get hard or crusty. Three flowers has a nice "semi gloss" shine to it as many older styled hair treatments. It is very Similar to "Axe shine Pomade" BUT the thee flowers has a more pleasant smell (Axe Pomade smells to strong like many of their products) and the Axe needs a bit more water before application because it tens to be a bit more WAX like than the three flowers. The three flowers may seem expensive but if you want to keep a simple clean hair style and want to use three flowers as your only styling product it will work just fine. Note: this should be applied to freshly clean hair every time. Even if you use a regular shampoo that leaves some of the three flowers behind that does not matter. What matters is dirt, grit, flakes oils and other "bed head" symptoms will not be covered up by use of this treatment. In fact these symptoms will work against the treatment and make your hair look messy and a bit of a "mop top" as the old timers say

Lovely smelling product. Can be applied to wet or dry hair, offering more hold on dry hair. Leaves hair shiny and not greasy to the touch. Works best if warmed up in hot water before use, it is easier to work into hair that way. My hair was easy to style, stayed put all day without a hint of crunchiness or dried-gel flaking. I combed my hair and re-styled after about 8 hours without reapplying more product and it stayed. Fragrance lasts all day and is subtle as pleasant.
