OOF ! This was A LOT !
Without committing to a long form "explainer", I can just say, the first time I watched this, I was in complete awe at the end. I couldn't take it all in on one viewing. I watched one more time before home release and... um... STILL couldn't take it all in. I got it as soon as released on DVD (Just for the "digital code") and now have a good understanding of all this movie presents. NOTE: If you buy the Blu-ray/DVD and use the included digital code, It ONLY works on VUDU (at the time of this review), it does not transfer to Movies Anywhere (and the other main sites). The Daniels (producers) have created such a wonder with this project. It's funny, depressing, and thoughtful almost simultaneously. The visuals are so engaging, you tend to get lost in what's going where and when. Michelle Yeoh is SO GOOD in this. I've seen BTS videos of the making of this movie (during covid) and she brings so much to all her "versions" of lead character Evelyn (Wang). The return of Ke Huy Quan as Waymond (Wang) was unexpected but very welcome and his character variations are really strong. I didn't really know Stephanie Hsu prior to this (Sorry Stephanie), but she (without spoiling) was awesome. I also loved Jamie Lee Curtis in this, she's very real in this (until she's not). I'm pretty sure if you watch this, you'll also be at a loss for words. Have fun with this, I know I did.

Too over the top to be good, Glad I watched but probably won't watch again soon, you should try it
The level of absurdities in this movie are just unmatched. The title is what you should expect though. It's trying to be a movie of everything. Thriller, action, mind twisting sci-fi, with family values, questionable sexual content, and kill them with love by the time it's over. I'm too uncertain how to feel about it to love it, but it stayed in my head too long to hate it. Did she create the raccoontouie guy or what? 4 stars is generous, but with the amount of work put into this I feel it is also unfair. If you want to feel the way this review sounds, watch it...

A Beautifully Transformative Film!
Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s 2022 film, “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” focuses on Evelyn Quan Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a laundromat owner being audited by the IRS. Meanwhile, she tries to manage her failing relationship with her husband, Waymond Wang (Ke Huy Quan), the care of her elder father Gong Gong (James Hong), and her daughter, Joy (Stephanie Hsu), who does not meet the expectations of her parents, much like Evelyn didn’t meet her own father’s expectations. Rounding out the cast is Jamie Lee Curtis as Deirdre Beaubeirdre, an IRS inspector, and Tallie Medel as Becky Sregor, Joy’s girlfriend. While on her way to the IRS office, Evelyn’s husband seemingly changes, announcing himself to be an alternate universe version of himself come to warn her of Jobu Tupaki, a threat to the multiverse. Evelyn struggles to adapt to knowledge of the multiverse while addressing the sources of her anxiety and disappointment in life. The story beautifully jumps between universes in a way that would dizzy most viewers but remains easy to follow with the grounded characters who serve as the core of the story. An alternate-universe Joy’s own disappointment in life led to her becoming Jobu Tupaki, so Evelyn must first work toward healing herself in order to help her daughter and save the multiverse. The film beautifully weaves together different genres while showing the importance of making meaning in an otherwise meaningless world. Kwan and Scheinert crafted something beautiful in this film that both reflects current trends in storytelling while capturing the emotional core of the past few years. A transformative journey on film.

Bonus. - Il y a de quoi faire : commentaire audio des daniels / scènes coupées + bêtisier / vidéo clip : this is life / entretien avec l’équipe du film / interview exclusive - daniel scheinert (paris) ... etc ... Bref. Ce "Everything Everywhere All at Once" est pour moi une sacrée pépite à voir et à revoir.
