Acroprint BioTouch Self-Contained Automatic Biometric Fingerprint/Proximity Time Clock (No Monthly Fee)

This has been in use and working great since November 2025. I opted to purchase RFID Cards for each person. We did lose power and caused a minor issue. Thankfully, it was during our in-house trial period while still using our previous time clock. We bought a computer battery backup and have been using this with no issues at all. Make sure you have can view XML files on your PC/laptop. I have MS Excel to open the timecards. Downloading the reports to the USB flash drive is very easy. I tested the timecards to the previous manual timecards before officially making the change and they were accurate within a minute, which was most likely from the employee clocking in on the manual one, then this one. I'm not sure how long it will last, but so far so good in a little over 6 months time.

We bought this product to replace Time Drop since it's not supported on Windows 11. Pretty much everything about this product is clunky from employee set up to retrieving the hours worked. *As far as I can tell there is no way to have the hours automatically tally and you have to manually add them up. We never used the facial recognition so I can't say whether it's okay or not. The product stopped working after 8 months and is unusable and unreturnable. Overall I would not recommend this product and think it's a waste of your money.

100 Stars if such a thing! Superbly pleased with the fast knowledgeable, professional and courteous service!! We purchased the BioTouch time clock as a 1st time purchase (we used paper time sheets originally). Even though I am not tech savvy at all, the instructions were easy to follow. I then wanted to change the settings for the daily time to be calculated but couldn't figure out where to go. I requested the information online and a Sales Rep responded via email later that day. When I advised that I needed a Customer Service Tech, someone called within a few minutes. The Rep walked me through the procedure quickly. He was understanding even though in hindsight, the instructions in the manual were step-by-step. I just couldn't wrap my head around the procedure. We highly recommend and will use Acroprint for any future needs.

For starters, product arrived perfectly packaged with all the needed items. Instructions are inside the provided pendrive. It took me around 4 hours to set up, carefully following the instructions. A couple of things before buying it: 1. It only supports Microsoft Software, not Mac or Apple. 2. Yes, instructions are a bit long, but rest assure, if you read and follow them, you will get it done, just be patient. 3. Fingerprint is a little bit tricky but for a small business, will get the job done. Haven't yet tried the clock in and out but hopefully, everything will go down smoothly too.

Was a great fit for our small business. Customer support was very helpful in selecting what we were looking for for our operation. Bio Touch has worked great so far we are using RFID cards and they have worked well. The only negative I feel is the RFID cards seem to be a bit expensive. I purchased the RFID cards from AcroPrint directly but they have worked perfectly.

The wifi symbol on the machine is very misleading. You have to use a USB stick to transfer info from the console to a computer. There is no remote system.

We needed something simple and basic for a small business- set up is basically self explanatory on the screen with the ESC and OK buttons- there is instructions- they are just located on the provided USB drive and not in paper format. You can set up predetermined times for 'Shifts' with ID numbers per employee with a PIN code or a fingerprint, but we opted for PIN numbers only. Super easy to use. *Side note, the setup reminds me of using text back in the day with 4 different letters per number. So if you are looking for something more modern and digitalized for this day and age, this probably isn't the best. It's literally the most back you can get for the price and no monthly fee, which is why we chose this one to begin with.

I purchased this to use at our restaurant. Tried to set it up and can't get past the initial setup. No instructions came with the unit. I wish I would have returned it while I could... now it will end up in the recycle bin!

Works wonderful, cuts down on time theft. If your having a problem call them they are awesome

I can see where some of the mixed reviews come from, in regards to set up it can be a little confusing to get everything going, but after that, it is smooth sailing. I wish everything was a little bit more clear in the instructions as well as exporting the Excel file into a spreadsheet. I wish it did tally up all the hours so you have to do it manually instead. Been using this for around a month now so far so good.

It does track time, when it works. It is also a pain to get reports off of. Definitely advertised as a more helpful device.
