When you can't afford Arches, Baohong is a great second...ive tried Canson ( yuck) Fabriano and other watercolor paper but I keep coming back to Baohong. It takes water and pigment beautifully. I really like the rough grain cold press...its consistently well made paper.

My second purchase of this paper. Itโs a nice addition to my growing collection of different brands. Arrived in perfect condition thanks to tight wrapping. Takes color glazing well, responds nicely to wet on wet technique.
