Solid Flash Drive
I use both a Mac and Windows laptop for my hobby work, the MacBook generally travels with me, so anything I need from my Windows box get's copied to this flash drive and comes on the travels. This is just a protection if it turns out my destination has no connectivity. While the flash drive itself is solid, I always have reservations about the smaller connection USB-C devices, especially if the drive just get's dumped in a drawer when not in use. Thankfully the device has a cover, and it works very well. The compact design works well, I would say it's a little too slick of a finish, so some knurling to help grip would've been nice, but it's not an impact on functionality. While using this I got a reasonably fast transfer rate, the device stayed cool while in heavy use. Overall a solid device. a little pricey compared to the competition, but the solid construction is well worth those extra dollars.

Beyond Amazing 5 *****. I’d give it 100 stars if I could
This flash drive is beyond incredible. After going through 6 cheaper USB Flashdruves on Amazon with great size GB’s and really good reviews. Had over 50,000 pics and videos that I wanted to back up from my iCloud. They all started great and were impressive only to about a 1/4 in they would either stop writing or give me an error message. 2 of them even showed them being transferred only to find out hours earlier that they didn’t transfer . The cheaper ones also took such a long time to transfer files even though I legan to transfer a small batch at a time . I finally gave up and decided to pay a higher price for this Samsung drive. My goodness. This drive is incredible. So fast at transferring and it allowed me to do bigger size batches . I transferred all my 50-60,000 pics and videos probably within 1-2 hours. I kept checking on them as it was going so fast that I thought something wasn’t right but, all the pictures and videos were transferred correctly with plenty of space left. I wasted over a week and a half of over 8-10 hours a day with those other lower priced usb drives and with this one, o accomplished everything in 1-2 hours. It’s mi d blowing how awesome this drive is . I recommend it without a doubt . Spend a little more on this and save yourself the wasted time and frustration that those other lower priced ones cause

Best USB-C flash drive I've found so far.
I use my phone for video camera work. For context, I bought a 1TB phone specifically because of that. I may take 250-300GB of video in one weekend. MTP is far too pathetically slow method to transfer such large amounts of video from my phone to my PC, and Cloud methods are not really any better. So, for such situations I usually use a portable media device such as flash drive or external NVMe to do the transfer. Copy it from my phone to the flash drive, copy off of the drive onto my PC. Fastest method by far. I have lately been using a NVMe USB enclosure for this purpose, but due to NVMe's (relatively) high power draw, I have to use a USB dongle with power input while making the transfer. Not the end of the world but far from convenient. In the past I have experimented with other USB-C drives, but they've all been far too slow in the write department to be realistic. You may have 300MB/s of read but if your write speed is a paltry 21-22MB/s, you're as good as useless for me. This was the case for the older Samsung USB-A flash drives, and even the newer USB 3.1 gray ones. This one, by contrast, is still not amazing on writes which is to be expected for a traditional flash drive, but it is FAR better than any USB-C drives I have used in the past. On very large transfers (100+GB) it usually settles down to around 75-80MB/s within the first 30 seconds or so, and stays at that speed for the entire transfer. Doesn't get too hot (just warm) and works well. Reads are excellent so far. On Windows I'm getting around 365MB/s continuously. The only real issue with this drive is on very large reads, it will overheat. It gets quite hot on these high speed reads and after around 75-80GB, mine disconnected and stopped the transfer. Thankfully Windows seems pretty good about file management and after it sits for a while and cools down, hitting Try Again seems to work reliably. Overall very happy with this drive. It's pretty darn small for 256GB, and fast enough that I can deal with it for the convenience of not needing to use any dongles.

Decent Drive
Purchased for the name brand and claimed speeds. Read speeds are great, but write speeds slower than expected. When compared to an Amazon Basics (same capacity and slightly less $), the Amazon Basics flash drive is MCUH fasted on writes. See images. Still a great drive for the price and the fact I have had consistent good results on reliability with other Samsung drives.

A stellar first impression
Just received delivery of my Samsung Type-C USB Flash Drive, 256GB, and I'm already feeling excited about this purchase. The striking blue color and compact design had me hooked right out of the box. It's small enough to fit in my pocket, yet feels solid and well-built. The setup was absolutely effortless. I love that it's compatible with both my older USB 2.0 laptop and the newer USB 3.0 desktop, providing a seamless experience. The Type-C connector is an excellent addition, allowing me to directly plug it into my phone and tablet without the need for any adapters. Performance-wise, this flash drive is a rocket! I transferred a 4GB movie file as a test, and it was done in a flash which is noticeably faster than any of my previous flash drives. I was also drawn to the waterproof feature. While I haven't had the opportunity (or mishap) to test this claim yet, it's comforting to know that an accidental splash won't spell doom for my data. The 256GB capacity is perfect for me. It's ample space for my work files, personal photos, and the occasional movie or series. Delivery was swift, and the product arrived in impeccable condition, neatly packaged with easy-to-understand instructions. My initial impression is overwhelmingly positive. It's fast, it's versatile, and it appears to be durable. While it's still early days, I'm highly optimistic about this flash drive's performance in the long run.

Small but mighty
A lot faster than my other flash drives, but wow, is this thing tiny. It looks like it was birthed by a mama flash drive. I didn't fully realize this until it arrived, which is actually not a selling point for my needs, but if you want a very small flash drive, this fits the bill. Seems a little overpriced for what it is, bit it did work well for tranferring files off my phone, so it fulfills its function. Just might wanna put on your readers to find it, lol.

Amazing lil item w quality u would assume it were an actual hard drive.
Absolutely amazing. Best quality flash drive I ever used. Fast speed, reliable performance, w the Samsung branding it certainly lives up to its name and you can be rest asured that you will receive top not performance high above most others in its competitive class esp the Generic or unbranded and even more so the Fraudulent knock of brands that produce less than products and infringe upon well know quality companies by replicating their brand named logo's. There's a lot of these on the web for consumer purchase, however w the item in focus here would you want to rely on a item to store important documents, and data of all sorts as well as original quality photos that have not been quality compressed to be trustworthy when they are already being less than genuine starting w something like a fake logo Branding?? Let's not even get into the idea that often times when you purchase these knock offs you can test it and it comes up extremely under par for the implied specs listed in its description. Bottom line something like storage items are on a list of goods that is highly recommended to not pinch pennies or be frugal when choosing which to purchase ... It's def worth a little bit extra to guarantee you are receiving the type of quality merchandise that is available and def called for ....
