Update: I wanted to alter my previous review. After having melting problems with the product, Fullstar contacted me. They offered me a new set at no cost to make things right. I am impressed with the level of customer service! I have received my new set and have washed them, so far so good. Im hoping it was just a fluke the first time as I really do like the containers. Previous review: I was very excited about these as I was replacing old Tupperware. They arrived in a timely fashion and we're well boxed. They are sturdy and the lids lock nice and tight. Unfortunately, after about 2 weeks of use the 3 different square containers had a gritty sharpness to the bottom. I thought it wasn't clean but after scrubbing and scrubbing it didn't come out. I realized it was melted plastic. I cant tell whether this is from the microwave or the dishwasher (we only use top shelf for plastic containers for safety), but they are melted. I threw them away as I was concerned about plastic getting in our food. Dunno if it was a fluke or not, but I only hand wash the rest and no microwaving :(

Let me tell you a tale - the tale of these amazing containers: The very first things I used one of these for was leftover soup... and I managed to trip over the cat and drop the container on my way to the fridge. It seemed to happen in slow motion. The container hit the ground on its side and I braced for the chaos that would surely follow - soup splattering to the farthest reaches of the kitchen, the stampede of dogs trying to lick up as much soup as possible before I drag them away, the cat soaked in soup and screeching as though he were being murdered - and lo it did not spill. Then and there I knew, I had found my saviour! Seriously though, these are the shiz planning to get the other two sets as well. :)

I bought these containers a few months ago, and so far they have proven durable. However, there are three things you should consider before you buy these containers: 1). All of the containers are clear and they all have the same color lid; 2). Some of the square containers are just slightly smaller than other square containers, and some of the rectangular containers are just slightly smaller than other rectangular containers. 3). None of the containers are very large. What does this mean for you? Well, the combination of items # 1 and 2 mean that you will constantly be searching through your cabinet to find the right lid for the container because you can't tell which lid fits which container until you actually take several out of your cabinet and try them. And, item # 3 means you are likely to reach for a second container when you discover that your leftovers won't fit in the first container you grabbed. The next set I buy will have color-matched lids, and I'll make sure the containers are bigger. If you haven't already purchased these, I suggest you do the same thing unless you enjoy searching through your cabinets for the correct lid.

I love these containers, I just wish that I could have purchased a set of 5 of just one size since I use these for lunches and breakfast. There is enough room in them, but I hate having so many different lids for my containers and its just a little OCD. The other thing I have noticed is that these can get very air tight. I often meal prep well in advanced and have noticed if you leave the food too warm before putting away these will form an airtight seal that I can see being a problem for some people trying to open. It leaves me confident that it is staying fresh, but it can be a hassle to open.
