JENOLITE Rust Converter Spray | 500ml | Fast-Acting Epoxy Based Rust Treatment & Inhibitor for Metal | Converts Corrosion into a Stable, Ready-to-Paint Surface

I purchased this product not having used jenolite for many years using another brand instead , i needed a spray as using underneath my car on a project for surface rust ,prepare area with a wire bush and then spray it on ,clinging to rusty metal some drips but that was expected instead use the gel product from jenolite if cling is needing , it dryed well and leaves a black hard finish, that can be primed and painted if needed , its not cheap but its an excellent product for my needs , i will be waiting for a sale and purchaing more without question soon

After a bit of research into what product was best for my needs, I opted for Jenolite Rust Converter Spray. Stone chips had broken through the paint around the arch areas of my campervan, looking unsightly. A quick rub down on the affected area with 80 grit oxide paper back to clean metal, masking tape applied to avoid any overspray, then follow the instructions on the can - shake contents for a few mins, then apply from around 25cms, leave to dry circa 15 mins, then re-apply. It's clear initially, but as it gets to work it turns black, after 2 coats a thick protective layer is formed, after fully dry / cured the epoxy feels tough and has good coverage, I'm letting it fully harden over this week, and will look to apply a top coat of colour matched spray paint, and clear lacquer top coat to blend it in, and will then apply 2 coats of the Jenolite on top of the colour matched spray paint for added protective layer as it is clear. Good product, good performance straight out the tin with minimal prep, instructions are simple to follow.

Fantastic product. Just take as much rust as you can first. My parts looks like new. Would uses again and recommend to anyone.

Great product, and easy to use

This Jenolite Rust Converter Spray is really good. I was surprised how fast this spray worked on my rusty Ford Fusion underneath. You don't really have to paint any underseal paint on top of it, but i always make my special mix of paints and black gasket sealant mixed up with some paint thinners, works a treat everytime. I strongly suggest you wear protective glasses, face mask, gloves and some old clothes before you start painting. Try to remove all the bad rust, either with a good wire brush or one that fits to a drill or grinder. Remove all grease and dirt before spraying the Converter Spray. This isn't cheap stuff but it does the job on any rusted item's. Rust is just like a 'Cancer' it spreads if untreated. Always look after your vehicles and they will last for years. I highly recommend this "JENOLITE RUST CONVERTER", Just a shame it's so expensive..Absolutely brilliant stuff, it's the best rust converter i have ever come across. "5+STARS" From me. Will definitely be buying again, just hoping the delivery person doesn't leave it on my front door step, it's a very rough estate i live on, rob anything here in "WHITECROSS" Warrington...

Good product , delivered quickly . Time will tell if the rust is contained . Used this product in my youth and it worked well then .

J'utilisais habituellement un produit concurrent beaucoup plus connu en France. La différence avec celui-ci est que la pellicule reste transparente si vous peignez un support non-oxydé mais elle devient bien noire lorsque vous repeignez un support oxydé. C'est parfait pour mon utilisation où je peux refaire la protection du châssis de mon vieux Dodge sans avoir à le repeindre derrière car il devient noir naturellement.

Follow the directions carefully. Spray OUTSIDE. Prepare to leave whatever you're spraying OUTSIDE for a minimum of 2 days with any sprayed areas OPEN. The fumes will go away, but they are very strong. The warnings on the can make this very clear. I used it to spray rust in the spare tire well in the trunk of my car which didn't rust due to water intrusion ... nooooo - it was mice that made their home in there. Their 'biological leavings' ate through the paint and caused rust. Also applied to other various areas that made light surface rust after sanding in the process of repainting a car. Coats really nicely, had no problem putting an epoxy primer over the top of this stuff (I gave it a week). Worked exactly as advertised. The more work you put into preparing the surface, the better the product will work.

super produit ! forme une couche de résine qui durcit en séchant. acheté pour couvrir des soudures avant peinture, le rendu est super propre. peut s'appliquer généreusement sur un support horizontal, mais par petites couches sur un support vertical pour éviter les coulures. un petit peu cher certes, mais généralement les produits contenant de l'epoxy ne sont pas donnés .
