More than I expected. Like 153 parts. Really detailed. Highest rated skill level to assemble. Level 5. If you are a skilled model builder and have lots of fun with this hobby, this model is for you. This is for those who love SuperMarine Spitfires. It has the V12 RR Merlin engine. Plus made Revell Germany.

Revell's box had multiple dents but seems that no parts were broken. Box seems old, sides open design. Great colorful Instructions but some part numbers did not agree with numbers on the "trees". Even though the scale is 1:32 many parts are very small.

A number of Spitfires are available in this scale; this one is not quite the best, but those that are, cost quite a bit more. The only real criticism I've heard regards the pilot's seat, and excellent aftermarket ones are available for correct that---if you even feel it's necessary. I don't plan on going that route as I don't see it's needed. Otherwise, great detail, the shape is correct, and best of all the price is hard to beat.

I will not build for some time but wanted to comment on the seller. The original box was placed in a stronger and more protective shipping box. I receive most models in the original box wrapped in a plastic shipping bag so I appreciate the extra protection. I checked the box and everything looks included and in order. Also included was a ModelExpo catalog. Very cool! I'm looking forward to this build!

If you want to build an accurate 1/32 late-mark Merlin powered Spitfire without a lot of gimmicks for a reasonable price, this is the one!

このキットは、2015年に出た新製品です。 私は、購入したばかりで工作途中です。 タミヤの影に隠れてあまり話題になりませんが、素晴らしいキットです。 1/32と言う大スケールにも関わらず部品点数を抑え、作りやすくなっております。 モールドは凹彫りで、繊細なリベツトが機体全体に施されています。 銀剥げの表現をする際は有効に使えますね。 若干彫りが浅いので、工作途中で消えてしまうかもしれません。 コクピットは、少ない部品で、要領よくまとめられていて、パイピンクするだけで、素晴らしくなります。 良いキットだと思います。

I was looking for a good value larger MkIX Spitfire kit to display the aircraft’s lines & form. Did not want engine detail or lots of removable panels. Perfect kit for this purpose. Amazon came top on my internet price check. Very familiar with Revell from my youth & my kids’ youth. Simple, no nonsense, value kits. This Spitfire is absolutely in their wheelhouse. Nicely presented & packaged with clear colour instructions. On-line reviews credited the moulding & dimensional accuracy of the kit and my example seems entirely consistent with the reviews. That said, only two RAF paint schemes & decals. No formal “wheels up” instructions. I will have to figure this out myself. All part of the fun! Packaging was damaged on arrival but kit did not suffer.
