An Octopus Is Amazing (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science, Stage 2)

This book was a great read for my young niece. She loves learning about octopi and there were so many new things that we learned. This a must buy!

I stumbled upon this book at my grandkids' house when reading with them. This book is just wonderful for young children and old children alike. I learned a lot myself about the octopus and found the book so interesting and fun to read I bought a few copies online to give as gifts. I am a quiltmaker and made a quilt with some octopus fabric, attached the book and donated it to the local children's hospital. I also gave the book with the leftover octopus fabric made into a pillow case for a friend's five year old. She said he made her read the book over and over again. It looks to me like these come in a series with other subjects. If I had young children I would absolutely check them all out. Well done!!!

I bought this to supplement an ocean unit that I was doing with my 4 year old homeschool preschooler. Although it was a stage 2 book, he really enjoyed it and learned a lot about octopuses. He was darting around the house "inking" people for a couple weeks after we started reading this. :) We are big fans of the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science Series. Some of them are more dry than others (probably because they are meant for kids a little bit older), but this one held his attention the whole way through and is often one that he requests me to read to him.

My 6 year old niece loves this book and enjoys learning all the unique facts and lives the vibrant pictures.

Purchased for grandson. He loves reading about all ocean creatures and enjoyed this book about Octopus. Great colors and pictures, and good size for price .

Great read for little kids and great resources foe science unit studies.

We read this story as part of an "O-o-octopus" unit for our homeschool kindergarten. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed the illustrations and was able to remember many of the octopus facts from the story. We like non-fiction (especially biology-based) so this story was a big hit.
