I got this for one reason and one reason only......to easily pick up the kitty litter that my 3 cats scatter all over the garage floor. I've been using my Dyson, but thought that it was a terrible use of such a vacuum cleaner! Plus it's big and cumbersome and I had to deal with that cord! I've been using the sweeper for a few days and it does the job perfectly and easily! I use both featherweight litter and the regular clumping litter. This sweeper picks both up easily and very quickly. It's very light weight and I love how it works side ways as well as up and down. I also love how easily it empties into the garbage can. Having found success in the garage, I tried it on my household hard surface floors. It picks up the smallest crumbs and even things like light onion skins and small pieces of paper. It will pick up anything my cats track from outside. I now use this sweeper more than my vacuum. This sweeper is not a vacuum. It does not pick up dust or fur or dust bunnies. It will pick up particles on the surface of hard carpets. It is not meant to be used on soft area rugs. If you have a textured rug or floor mat, and something falls between the carpet texture, it will not pick it up because it has no suction. It's a sweeper. It takes around 12 hours or so to completely charge when you first get it. The instructions say that you can keep it on the charger at all times, and I do that. The longest I've used it for is about 10 minutes and it takes a few minutes to recharge that time. It should be hung up, not stored upright. The handle has a hole to put it on a hook. I have mine stored about 5 feet from the electrical outlet. I have used it numerous times a day because it's so very easy to use and does the job very well. I had a regular non-electric sweeper that I used in my classroom. It worked well, but needed several feet of space to get the wheels to turn enough to sweep up the debris. With this electric model, it picks up debris immediately and in very tight spaces. Plus this one can pick up debris going sideways, which the nonelectric models cannot do. I would highly recommend it for anyone who needs a sweeper for all the crumbs and stuff that gets on the floor. But remember, its not a vacuum cleaner.

SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES!!! I like peanuts in the shell, I keep a bag in my bedroom. However when breaking open the shell, the crumbs fly all over. I used the huge Hoover Pet Hair vacuum last time, but this is just a small area, and believe me, pushing that Hoover around is like pushing a 1976 Buick Electra 225 up a hill! I was going to get one of those sweepers that turn the brush only if you keep it moving, but when I saw this was on a a reduced price, and with a small motor I was sold. So glad I went with this over the manual sweeper. The area I need to vacuum is very small, and is plush carpeting. This did a great job, and it was half dead when I used it, I ran it down to zero power. The carpet is clean enough now of all those messy shells, and it even picked up some dog hair as well ( for those that don't know the dog hair is really called Pomeranian Glitter!) I will be doing the finishing sweeping when it gets to a full charge, but from what I have seen of this Black and Decker mini sweeper, I am very happy and impressed. The edge brishes work good as well. If you are looking at one of those sweepers that depend on the wheels to drive the brush, DON'T! Just put a little more to it and get the battery powered unit, you will be glad you did! Will update if any thing changes. Oh, and it has a limited 2 year warranty. Thanks. Kem. 4/8/24 Update: May, 13. The sweeper on carpet tends to stop running when pushed forward, unless I am very slow and apply no downward pressure on the main brush. It nosedives into the carpet, and when that happens, the motor stops running. What I did to correct this was add a little bit of lift to the front suspension "bumps" on the bottom, that would give the brush enough lift. Only about an 1/8", but it seems to stop it from shutting down on forward thrusts. Hot glue gun helps with this problem. Update June 29. BEWARE OF DOG HAIR BINDING UP THE BRUSHES. Dog hair will get into the end of the brush bushings, and this will bind up the brushes to the point that the brushes will barely turn. It's about impossible to remove all the hair without taking the sweeper apart. But once cleaned up, it works like new again!!

Funky little sweeper. Picks up light trash n fuzz from floor and thin carpet. Easy to move around and empty. Very light weight. Actually like it a lot. Question how long it will actually last.

I LOVE this product!! I run a doggie daycare and this thing works! Its not as efficient as a dyson vacuum so dont have unrealistic expectations BUT this thing works so well!! I use it on my entire space (2 bdrm 1st floor of a private house) and it has yet to die on me!! Not once!! I swear I used it longer than 50m and on tough messes! Wet & dry!!! I cant believe it, I use this almost daily for 6+ months now and it has yet to die on me & it never slows down. The brush that comes w it to clean the brushes works flawlessy and so well within seconds. I def reccomend this product!! I recently got a dyson bc I have a lot of daily messes btwn my business, my kids, my life in general lol so wanted something more handheld and could get couches and the cars but otherwise this thing is GREAT! My electric sweeper wont be going anywhere and I still plan to use it btwn uses w the dyson & in place of my broom/dustpan. Worth every penny definitely would buy again but no need bc the one I have still works like day 1! It may take a little long to charge but once your done cleaning throw it on there and I promise you'll never have an issue. Light weight and even cleans my welcome mats and goes from diff floor types like wood, tiles & linoleum with ease. Struggles getting deep corners but again the pros far outweigh any cons.

This little electric broom is a wonderful tool! It cleans up carpets, both wall to wall and throw rugs, like a dream. Has plenty of power and very lightweight. Totally recommend!

I waited a few months before reviewing to see how well this held up. At first, I would have given this 5 stars. It worked so well when I just needed a quick sweeping, especially for cat litter. The charge lasted a long time and it was very sturdy. Sometimes I needed to go over one spot a few times to make sure it picked everything up, but that didn't bother me much. It's about as annoying as getting that last longer of dust with a broom and dustpan, so nothing too troublesome. However, now that it's been about 6 months or so, it cuts itself off during use, even when fully charged. I have to press the start button a few times to keep it going. It also tends to blow dust bunnies away instead of picking them up. In some cases, it picks up debris just to spit out back out. If you're getting this for extremely light usage, sure it's fine. I wouldn't recommend it for longevity though.

Just bought this after trying many things to clean my lightweight area rugs. I’ve tried so many different vacuums and manual sweepers and this is the BEST. No sucking up the area rugs while still picking up the dirt and dog dander. It’s easy to assemble, easy to clean and easy to use. I hope it last for awhile but I really like it. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty decent sweeper, however if you have carpet any higher than short pile there is a bit of a learning curve on how to use it. You can't just push and pull on all types of carpet, or else the sweeper will drag rather than glide along the carpet when pulling back. This is because the sweeper is built with gliding pads along the bottom, rather than wheels, so friction will cause the sweeper to drag rather than glide back smoothly. Also, when pushing the sweeper along high carpet, the rollers may shut off, I assume this to be a safety mechanism to prevent the rollers from overworking. This might also occur if something gets stuck in the rollers, such as accumulated hair. Some users might find this to be the sweeper losing battery power too soon, or being faulty, but it seems to be the sweepers way of preventing the rollers, and motor from overworking/bogging down. A turn of the wrist allows you to get into nooks and crannies and allow the sweepers alone the sides to do its job and also allows for sufficient pull back before pushing the sweeper forward again. I like to push it forward, then turn it just a bit along pull back. I kind of like to maneuver it as if I'm have using a Swiffer sweeper gliding across the carpet rather than the traditional push and pull method. The sweeper performs well on hardwood floor as well. Hardwood or carpet you're going to want to keep the sweeper moving in the direction of the items needing to be picked up, sweeping right up on the particle may not be enough, sweeping over the particle will most certainly bring it into the tray. This sweeper, sweeping aside, is one of the more better sweepers when it comes to maintenance and discharging trash collected. A squeeze of both the notches releases the holding mechanism allowing the tray to swing freely into the garbage can. You can then take the sweeper, place it on the floor, and the door latches shut. There's also a tool that comes in handy when using it too clear hair picked up by the brush. Using the tool, you can insert it into the little notches found on the rollers and swipe it fully across the roller cutting free any hair the sweeper picked up. I will definitely look for this feature in any sweeper I look up in the future.

this charges on 110v and there is no conversion transformer with it. Therefore not suitable for the UK marketwhich is not stated in the advert

Yo estaba feliz, funciono bien los primeros 20 dias y despues empezo a descargarse rapidamente no tenia la potencia para recoger nada, se atoraba y se apagaba. cada vez peor la tuve que devolver. Una lastima porque con una buena potencia tiene funcionalidades del mango excelentes. Recoge arena de gatos, pelo gatos y perro y ademas pasto que se mete en las patitas de perra y gatas desde el jardin. Es una casa pequeña con una carga la puedo pasar casi a toda la casa y queda para volverla a usar mas tarde. Facil de limpiar, para mi ha sido la salvacion y dejar de batallar con pelo enredado en las escobas. Alcanza todas partes , abajo muebles super facil de maniobrar, Limpia perfecto las orillas y alrededor patas de los muebles.

Good and durable. Only concern is whether it will scratch my tiles flooring.

Another great Black & Decker product. I wanted something light weight, easy to use, and effective. So far so good! Easy to click the handle pieces together. Really like the tool to cut hair caught up in the rollers. LOVE the ability to squeeze the dustbin release from above - makes dumping quick, easy and no mess. The size was smaller than I expected, but good things call in small packages - a picture provided for a size reference. Works well on my low pile carpet stairs, and bare floors. Remember it’s a sweeper, not a vacuum - it doesn’t pick up well along the baseboard, but that’s ok, that isn’t the primary function. The power assisted sweeping will be great for in between regular vacuuming and getting underneath a king size bed to pick up dust.
