Do i need to build a box around them? With spray in insulation will it affect sound?

I cut a hole in a drywall hollow soffit and mounted them. they sound very good. Any box would not require insulation. A box would be used to send the sound out through the speakers, not to muffle the sound. I would suggest to install them without the box, and try it before building a box.

screen is already connected. how do i remove it?

Hi, our sincere apologies. You may use a small pointed object to remove the speaker grill. You may check other details of the unit by visiting our website pyleaudio.com. Type the model number on the search box PDIC1661RD for more details. Thank you.
