Clipper Guards 16 14 12 10 Compatible with Most Wahl Clippers, Color Coded Clipper Combs Replacement - 1.25", 1.5", 1.75" & 2"

I bought these to trim my beard. My trimmers came with guards but the longest one is an 8. I use the 10 to trim my beard and they fit my clippers perfectly. I ended up giving away the longer guards to a buddy of mine who has a much longer beard than me. I like that the guards are color coded so you know which color to choose for the length you want. All the guards on my existing kit are black and I have to go through many of them sometimes to read the number on them to find the one I'm looking for. The color coding makes it much easier. The guards are a good solid quality and I would recommend them for haircuts or beard cuts.

These worked well for my Wahl clippers. They’re a bit stiffer than the official guards but they clipped on and stayed on.

Most attachments fit very nice. The largest one (16) feels a little loose but stays on without falling off so it should be good. These are the only ones that I have found to fit my older model conair trimmer and its a huge benefit when trimming longer hair without having to buy a whole new trimmer and attachments.

Good guards. Seem as good of quality as the ones that came with our Wahl clippers. Easy to use, and work well.

These fit what most wahl clips will fit, purchased mainly for the 10 gaurd, i have tried the others and not saying they dont work but there's a certain technique to be learned to be able to uniformly cut with with the bigger guards where clipper over comb will yield better results

They just don't work well! I don't fault the manufacturer of them, it's more that cutting hair with extended length guards isn't easy to do and now I understand why the big hair clipper manufacturers don't include longer lengths than 1". I had to push my hair into the guard and towards the cutting blade for this to work. The result was not great but not horrible. Though definitely not something I plan to continue doing. I will go back to the 1" guard and live with shorter hair. UPDATE: It's been a couple of months and I've determined why these guards rattle so much. It's because the edges of the guards where the metal clipper edge rests is not shaped correctly. The rest of the blade fins are correct, it's only the edge blades with the problem. This prevents the clipper edge from fully nestling into the guard. It allows for the guard to become cocked and that leads to uneven cuts. However because these guards are so long that unevenness isn't really the primary problem. It's simply that the guards make a lot of racket rattling against the clippers.

This longer set gives you an opportunity to make a longer haircut. The quality is superior. The only drawback is the lack of odd numbers. You only have 10, 12, 14, 16, but not 9, 11, etc. I threw 14 and 16 away immediately after I got it, and I don't even use 12.
