Small vice
I seen this, and knew I could sharpen my mini chainsaw chain on this. Very nice.

Reasonable value
This clamp is as weak as possible AND still functional for small & very light duty tasks. Poor machining and tolerances make it awkward to open/close, but it is usable. You will likely need to "help" the vice open/closed with a second hand since the jaw has too much play and can jam. I expect this vise to have a short life expectancy, even for very light work, only because the material is soooo soft that the threads will wear easily simply removing and replacing the different holding posts. (I can not confirm this speculation yet). Summary: I did not immediately find an alternative vice in the $20-30 range with better build quality. At the price point of this vice I believe it IS a good value and will serve my purposes. I rate this as good value, poor sturdiness, mediocre ease of use, because the jaw function isn't smooth. I rate the product as functional enough for super light duty work.

This vice is ideal for gripping delicate items such as pocket knives
The vice is well made, light yet sturdy & ideal for what I am using it for, to apply pressure on the delicate plastic scales ( handle grips ) on Victorinox pocket knives. I have bought a number of 2nd hand Victorinox pocket knives & have replaced the old & worn scales ( grips ) with new ones & after snapping the new scales into place on the knives by hand they need to be squeezed tight in a vice to ensure that they are on tight & that there is no gap between the plastic scale & the aluminum liner plates of the knife. It cant be done by hand and needs a vice & this one is ideal for such delicate work at home.

Im satisfied and it's ok. very diverse at holding things
My review might sound negative however i would say I'm neutral because the pros cancel out the cons by a little. Too un sturdy and is unusable as a stand alone clamp without mounting to a surface which it does to come with the extra hardware to do this so you might need to buy those little things to fix it to a table or something. although it holds stuff (very weird and unusual shaped objects to the most basic shapes), you end up having to hold this vise in your hands yourself unless you have your own components to mount it. It's too light weight. I know the metal is quality aluminum but it needs additional weight in my opinion. It can hold a lot of things in many positions which is the most beneficial thing about this and actually not many other products, especially this price, offer such a diverse holding system. However. The parts appear to be hastily finished in the manufacturing process and ultimately left the metal a bit uneven and hard to secure without vise slipping on one side. and the plastic components were worse than the metal in terms of enlevel and uneven finish such as excess material that should have been removed or sanded. Price and holding position is the only reason it got 3 stars but it's worth buying I'd you are tired of holding smaller things with fingers

Great value!
It’s definitely cheaper quality, but great for the money. I didn’t have any trouble with fastening the plastic holders with the screws provided. I found that 1/4-20 screws worked perfectly to attach it to the drill press base I was using. I’m happy with the purchase.

Good vise, great price
I really like this little vise. it holds small parts nice and securely. All of the parts seem fully formed and in good shape. All of the plastic parts have a bit of flashing on them, but they all clean up pretty well with a utility knife. All of the screw threads are well formed, on both the soft jaws/posts and the main screw. I haven't had it for a very long time, so I can't say how it will hold up in the very long term, but for the short while that I've had it, it seems to be doing pretty well. I don't have any machine table or other surface with T-slots, so I can't test out the bolt-holes, but a small pistol-grip clamp does a fine job at holding it in place at the edge of my desk. For anyone wondering, the screw heads are Phillips #2. Unfortunately, I've lost my thread tester, so I can't say what the thread size is. All in all, this is a pretty good vise. I'm sure this will get a lot more use.

Good for SMD work
Cons: the plate that slides open/closed gets a bit stuck when not square to the rail, and there is no good mechanism to keep it square when opening/closing the gap. The driving screw action is a bit rough, so you'll want to add a little grease to the main threaded screw. There is no quick release/ close button to bypass the many turns to close a big gap. HOWEVER, I only saw lighter plastic bodies that had that button, and I desired a more weighty vice that was still small. So when you look at the pics, if it has threaded heat inserts to screw the posts to, it WILL be lighter weight. PROS: Holds the board snug. Weighty enough I am not attaching to a heavier base yet. stays in place well when set on a silicone soldering matt. Recommendations to manufacturer: Include set of longer bolts so the posts can be mounted when the clamp covers are installed. Until then, hit your local Ace hardware store so you get to install all the fun parts at one time. Please engineer the sliding clamp portion to remain square during opening / closing adjustments.

Good buy for the money
It's a good vise made from aluminum so not heavy duty but strong enough for me and it's just a little small for the drill press, but I got it bolted on one side so it works. The nylon jaws and nylon pins are a nice addition to hold awkward size materials securely. Arrived quickly and price was right. Recommended.

Piss pore quality for the price, The jigs jaws move side by side too much. Plastic pieces are lower than china grade crap. Dont buy this crap spend on better quality product.
