I purchased this lid for use with a nonstick 8 inch skillet. I wanted something that would not scratch the coating along the rim of the skillet. This lid is perfect. It arrived nicely boxed. The handle has to be attached to the lid with a screw, but this took only a minute with a Philips screwdriver. The silicone rim around the glass is uniquely designed to fit securely to a skillet of either 7, 8, or 9 inch diameter. It fits my skillet perfectly, making what becomes essentially an airtight seal. The small hole in the glass allows steam to escape which helps prevent condensation from building up. I was afraid this would interfere with making over easy eggs without having to flip them, but it was not a problem. The lid cleans up easily. I find silicone cleans a lot easier if you wash it right away rather than waiting to wash it later. The only negative, as others have pointed out, is the glass quickly fogs up during cooking which prevents you from monitoring the food as it cooks without lifting the lid. Since you would have to do this anyway with any other lid, especially a metal one, I really don’t see it as a big deal. If you need a lid for a skillet in the advertised size range, this one is a great choice. I like it so well I may buy one of the larger ones offered to use with a bigger skillet.

Ceramic, Black interior non-stick and now the Hexagon. Enough. I wanted a high sided stainless steel pan or carbon pan that I could use as a all/everything pan. I feel this is the perfect pan. I need to re-work and learn to find tips and tricks working with this. I know to pre-heat the pan, till I get the bead of water to roll across the surface. Fun to watch in this pan. This is also induction friendly. No buzzing. To work with this pan, I also got this lid, which I really like. I was tired of all the lids clattering around the under-counter cabinet. This one fits most of my pots without any issues. Due to the design and the material used, the lid does sit a little low on larger pans/pots, so sometimes when boiling liquid the liquid may boil up to the glass. It hasn't caused any issues for me but I do try to avoid using it in cases where I'm boiling a lot of liquid in a larger pan that isn't very deep.

I have no idea who in this house broke 95% of my pan & pot tops but, they are gone. So, searching for each size individually would have been pricey. Thank God Amazon showed this on my feed cus it saved me money & allowed me to buy more products. Great for the price. Fits properly. It’s def sealed & locked in. Rubber wasn’t soft & still in tact. Durable, YES!! Only need to screw the handle on, wash & use. Lightweight.

Love this! It fits most of my pans nicely. The glass is great because you can see into the pan. Steam hole also works well, just avoid with your hands. Because it fits multiple pans, it declutters my pan storage area. Washes easily and dries well (I don’t have a dishwasher). Nice weight and balance. Just bought a larger pan without a lid, so will be ordering another one for it. Great price for the lid.

Great item does what it describes. We have a few one that requires a different type of cover and this things is amazing in covering all we need.

I would not buy this product again. Yes, they do work ok to protect splatters, BUT I have to take the knob on top of each lid off to wash them after using....NO MATTER what I do, when I hand wash them, water gets trapped. They also smudge and smear, AND it's hard to get smells of some of the food cooked out of the black seal around the lid.

absolutely the best universal lid!.....Fits every pan and has a silicon gasket on the inside of the lid that will seal any pan, this thing is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon!....

Great idea. But the knob is constantly spinning no matter how I tighten it, and the risk of touching hot glass is high. I wish they would make this with a handle option instead.
