Don’t know what happened to my initial review. I came back for an update on this lil cutie of a machine. when I took it out of the perfectly packaged box it had the wow factor . I was impressed how light weight it was but yet sturdy. Has plenty of cord. This is the kind of machine I learned on. Simple. No fancy gadgets. I channeled my Home Ec teacher Mrs Follet from 1964. She became my immediate reference on my sewing needs. The machine sat there for two weeks I was afraid to try it. Found rvery excuse known to me why I shouldn’t rev it up. I was afraid it wasn’t going to work. I was preparing myself for a big let down . I knew something would be wrong with it. Well , today I took the plunge. Project was simple. Get to know the machine first. I gotta say I’m in the double wow factor. First thing I noticed was the quality control. Bobbin was already in. Power on.Threading it was easy. I was still anxious that something would fail. Nothing did. I did several small items and everything went smoothly. Stitches were perfect for my needs. Im so wonderfully pleased with this machine. Another huge plus is how easy it is to carry and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. “Simplicity boils down to two steps. Identify the essential . Eliminate the rest .” Leo Babauta March 1st: update.. Bought this to make quilts. Started making quilts on a whim and didn’t want to spend a lot of money because I knew this whim would end. Pretty sturdy little machine. On really thick layers you may have to help it along but it keeps on going. Once I got the hang of threading everything and winding bobbins it works great. It’s small and has a carrying handle, so you can set it up anywhere and sew a while then pick it up and move it out of the way. Love it !

This machine isn’t without a couple quirks but it’s such a nice little machine. I think it’s small enough that if you don’t have a lot of space or need it for travel you will love that, and it’s pretty light. I haven’t had issues once I learned its functions. It is not used btw. Seeing a lot of reviews saying it is used because there is a loaded bobbin, that is standard with these overseas models. That’s how they test it before it leaves the manufacturer. Quirks: the bobbin winder tends to bottom load my bobbins no matter what. I just babysit it and adjust where it hits with my finger while it runs. No clear plate to see the bobbin while sewing. It loads like the older ones I used in home ec class and not like most nicer modern machines. It came a little oily on the parts straight out the box so wipe it down as needed. I think if you keep it clean and oiled though this machine will last a long time for most occasional and beginner sewers. It has a nice selection of stitches, and is very straightforward.

I am an avid Singer user! I needed a new seeing machine as my old one finally tangled for the last time I was tired of cleaning it. I happened on this Poolin and because of it's swift next day delivery and after reading the reviews I decided to take a risk. I NEVER stray from Singer machines!! BUT.... to my surprise this is by far the BEST SEWING MACHINE I'VE EVER USED!! I am incredibly impressed with the quality of workmanship that this Poolin produces. The first test stitch I made with it was unbelievably perfect! So perfect in fact, that i had to inspect it to make sure the threads were actually stitched together!! Better than flawless!! Smooth finish, straight and precise with a tight hold! I have spent thousands of dollars on a single machine that was not nearly as easy nor as good as this sewing machine. I absolutely recommend this sewing machine to ANYONE who wants to sew, whether you're just starting out for the first time or an advanced master of the sewing craft.. this is a great buy!! I love it and am ecstatic I decided to give this little machine a chance!! I will be more inclined to purchase many Poolin products In the future too, as the engineering of the machine was well thought out, designed and created!! And ton top off the loving it side.. it is so affordable you won't break the Bank buying it. So, if you are reading this review right now and trying to decide....get it now!! You won't regret it!!

This machine is awful. I bought this as a present for my daughter and it does not work. It will make a stitch or two and then it breaks the needle. Or it won't stitch at all. I have even had y mother in law work on it, she is a seamstress and she cannot fix it either. Since my daughter didn't open right away because it was a gift I now can't even return it since it's past the return time. Complete waste of money. Wish I could give it zero stars

I haven't sewed in 30 years. I got this machine for little nothing big projects. This machine is awesome. I never herd of this brand before so with the price I decided to give it a try. It is very simple and the settings are very self explanatory. If your looking for a great machine to start on of your just starting out or just want something simple to do little projects with, this machine is it. Also it is light weight.

East to use, worked well, right out the box, they have a excellent customer service, who contacted us immediately after receiving it, in case we had any questions and was ready to help us set it up step by step. But my wife figured it out immediately. Great price, and was shipped fast!!

This has been a great machine to use as a beginner! It's simple and easy to use with clear YouTube videos to get you started. You can control the speed easily and can get it to go very slow if needed. Comes with a good starter set of thread, needles, bobbins, etc. It's lightweight for a sewing machine and functions well. However if you are using thicker fabrics exercise caution the thread in the bobbin can get jammed very easily. It is a beginner sewing machine not made for heavy duty fabrics.
