The LEGO® Engineer

Our grandson loves Legos and has received a great number of different sets over the years. He requested Legos again for Christmas but as he is now in his mid-teens and has a great interest in AND aptitude for all things engineering, I decided to hunt for a gift that was a bit beyond the standard Lego item with which he could use his vast amount of bricks. I believe I have found it!! This book is amazing. It's hard-backed and set up exactly as the Lego instructions are with one addition: it also explains in Engineering-ese how these marvels of advanced society work. There are instructions for approximately 30 different builds from bridges to buildings to "things that float." It is very well written, engaging, colorful and informative. Our Grandson is ready for such a book and I am just delighted with this Christmas gift.

My grandson loves this book. It shows how to make bridges and such out of lego as well as explains the engineering behind them. Great for who love Legos and interested in engineering

Wow!! This book looks amazing. I surely hope my 12-year-old brainac "lego engineer" will enjoy it as much as I think he will!!

My son will be reading it for years. There are a lot of sections he can't understand but reads them anyway. Loves this book. He learns a lot. And it keeps him busy for a long while!

Love the book and the concepts, would love if there was a site that showed how to make that design from the cover, it’s what drove me to buy the book, guess I can piece together from some of the individual builds!
