This skid plate is heavy duty, easy to install and half price of others. Covers well and looks good

First when I opened it seemed like this was a previous return product. There was old staple holes in the box ....and a second set of staples put on the box and it was taped with clear tape. The problem with the unit I was sold is that the angle of the bracket that should be flush against the differential front housing wasn't welded on at an angle that it can sit flush. There was a quarter inch gap at the bottom . The bolts wouldn't even reach the threads on the housing. Completely useless and a waste of my time. First and last RC product I'll ever use. I'm pretty sure that someone had the same issue and returned this to them and they turned around and tried to sell it again instead of taking it out of circulation. Avoid.

I'm impressed with this skid! It's beefy and was super easy to install. I'll no longer have to worry about banging my front diff on the rocks. I can't wait for the rear one to show up in the next couple of weeks.

Nice and heavy , came with no mounting hardware. I had to go buy what was listed on the directions . No sticker . I guess no quality control. I also had to bend the face mounting bracket to fit flush .

Needed help with additional hardware and Rough Country helped me out in a pinch. Half the cost of the metal cloak I put on the rear, but way better than half as nice. Is it the best you can buy? No but it’s probably the best per $ spent.

Skid is fine, welds leave lots to be desired. The engine side of the pinion clamp MUST be modified to clear the engine oil pan. My JL has a 1” lift and at resting height the brace is only 3/8” away from the pan. Any motion would put the brace straight into the oil pan. I’m a fabricator so I’ll just cut off the brace and Refab that side and it will have 1.5” vertical clearance to maintain a safe gap during full drivers side wheel articulation upward.

The Rough Country differential skid plate fits perfectly on my front Dana M210. It also protects the front cover a third of the way up. I highly recommend this product.
