I just received this lamp today, and I absolutely love it! The packaging was really well thought out—there’s even a base holder included, which made assembly so much easier for me, especially since ladies like me, I don’t have a lot of hand strength. A couple of years ago, I bought a full-spectrum lamp for my daughter, but I now realize it’s not just about brightness; it’s about eye care. This time, I focused on a high CRI and flicker-free lighting. BenQ was what i found—both the technical specs and the design fit my taste so well. The only concern I saw in some reviews was that the joints might loosen over time, so I’ll keep an eye on that. But with BenQ’s reputation, I’m confident their support will be there if needed. If only this lamp has auto brightness adjustment, it would be truly perfect!

At first, I thought "What nut would spend this much on a lamp??" But a relative urged me to get it (they have one) and even chipped in. So I ordered the lamp... and have been happily impressed ever since. First, it comes packed like they were shipping some famous painting – I appreciate the effort to protect the product. Then I found assembly to be quite easy, a LOT easier than anything from IKEA. The base is quite heavy, but that's what you want so it doesn't easily tip. Finally, the light is fully adjustable as to color and brightness. I am so pleased with this floor lamp that I plan to go back and buy the desk model as well. Top notch, and worth the price imho.

I'm 61, crochet and need more light. This light is PERFECT! I can set the temperature and brightness to exactly what I need even when not crocheting. I love the ability to have it on its dimmest setting and the sepia-tone for just a background light while watching TV. Yes, it's pricey BUT the build and its components are top-quality. Very well packed. You won't regret making the purchase.

It's sturdy, flexible, and super adjustable, although I usually use it on the automatic ambient light setting. It provides the perfect amount of light next to my reading chair, which is in a dark corner. I love it.

Work good with brightness. Easy to use just with simple touch. But the connection is pretty easy to fall off.

This review was written the day I received and started using it. Have your box cutter or small SHARP knife or scissor arm at the ready to break outer and inner package seals. 1. Amazon now often makes people click to a different screen to find the most RECENT reviews (like this one, unless many upvote it, which seems unlikely, since it is hidden). So people largely see just the BEST reviews, and so are more likely to buy. Manipulative **. 2. Manufacturer does not offer a black option. Ugh. 3. Description says matte silver. But that is only the lamp head. The body is white. For those already preferring black, more ugh. 4. There is a moderate amount of height and directional adjustment flexibility in the vertical support bar, arms, and lamp head combination, but not as much as many would like. For example, the vertical support bar is fixed, and does not adjust up or down. The LOWEST height above the floor one can get the lamp head, while the lamp head is horizontal / flat, is about 3.5 feet, and the HIGHEST is about 5 feet. It goes as high as I am likely to need, but I cannot move the lamp head down toward the floor quite as low as I would like for my use purposes. Myself and many others would like to see more lamp head rotation - and lower height - adjustability. 5. Only one cord manager on the vertical arm, but I wish there were three. Or the cord hidden inside the vertical rod would look even better. 6. Brightness is adjustable to medium low, but not quite as dim as I would like. 7. I like the soft, mellow light temperature option. But I also wish there was a more golden amber option. Or even other color options. 8. Similar to the lamp head being a different color than the body, their white transformer plugs into their silver power cord. Most prefer everything color matched, not bouncing to and fro. 9. Some people will spill food, beverage, or other debris on their silver power cord, staining it. For this reason, many prefer it came with a black cord. 10. The power cord is long enough for most people. But it is only modest length at slightly over four feet from the outer edge of the fairly wide base. So some - like myself - need to supply an extension cord. 11. The white base is nicely wide and heavy for lamp stability. But many will scuff or damage such a large exposed surface. Some will want to conjure a cover for this base, in order to reduce the risk of visual marring. It would be nice if the manufacturer provided an attractive cover, such as a clear film consumers could leave on. 12. They should provide the option for customers to enable or disable a dim light on the On/Off touch ring, so people can find this control in the dark. 13. The 'hold your finger(s) on the power ring for a few seconds multiple times to change functions' is not auite intuitive, so I'm still not sure I have it figured out. I'm going to have to pull the packaging out again and read the instructions. 14. No smart home / remote control / HomeKit capability. I bought this because although the lamp head on my prior floor lamp still works well, a plastic connector between the vertical rod and flexible arm broke, as plastic is wont to do. It should have been made of metal. Despite the many factors ripe for improvement, at first use, this lamp seems good. And the components seem sturdier than a lot of mid-priced lamps with some ** plastic connector parts that sometimes break. So I will probably keep this lamp, as I do not see any on the market with the good features of this lamp, but that also correct the numerous issues I list above. This list just goes to show how common poor design is, even in what may be the best example of something on the market.

It's very easy to assemble this floor lamp. The control is also simple enough for anyone to understand it.

So I bit the bullet and got this to use as a light for cross stitching and I'm so disappointed. The light itself is ok. But after a few months of use all the hinges on this stand squeak super loud. I have a new born that sleeps in my room when I use the lamp and any time I need to move it to readjust it wakes him up because the thing is so loud.
