S&F STEAD & FAST 6 inch Sanding Discs Hook and Loop, 1000 1500 2000 3000 Grit Wet Sandpaper

I can only speak for the 2000 grit version of this kit. These discs are pretty much as advertised. You get 30 of them in a box, protected with shrink wrap. The loop surface is very thick and bold in red, with clear labeling. This offers a good purchase on your orbital. The abrasive side is very slick, to my eye it is indeed around 2000 or so. I need to spend some time with them to see how they handle load. This type of disc is really meant for clear coat, epoxy, metal and other surfaces, not wood.

These were purchased for my dad's at Christmas time in addition to a sander so I wasn't able to take photos or video. But they are very good quality and I would suggest them

Adhere to pad well

These discs, being wet and dry, allow me to use a random orbit sander to polish scratches out of fiberglass or painted surfaces without the clogging that dry discs have. Particularly in finer grits (I got 1000) clogging is an issue with regular papers. Wet use will of course be best (safest) with an air sander, but I found with judicious use of water I can use an electric sander as well- just don't go crazy and flood the area. I'll consider some of the finer polishing grits when I get to some fiberglass work coming up.
