⭐ Enterprise Power at a Consumer Price — EAP635 Delivers Big
After wrestling with the limitations of the EAP610, switching to the TP-Link EAP635 felt like stepping into another league. I installed two units—one on each level of a 2,000 sqft home—and the coverage has been absolutely flawless. For a device in this price range, it packs a serious punch with enterprise-grade features, seamless integration into the Omada ecosystem, and blazing-fast Wi-Fi 6 performance. Setup was straightforward, and both access points have been rock solid from day one. No drops, no quirks—just fast, stable connectivity across all clients, including smart home devices, streaming setups, and remote work demands. If you're looking for premium performance without the premium price tag, the EAP635 is a standout choice. Reliable, feature-rich, and clearly built to last.

Works and I’m happy again.
Was using a wireless access point that didn’t play well with my switch, which had to be replaced when the switch that came with my house decided to not work out of the blue one day. Finally got tired of the access points not playing nice with my switch and bought 2 of these. Speeds are back up to a good speed. Happy with the product.

Fantastic access point for working from home
Fantastic access point for home use! We have 2300 sqft home with one in the central living room and one in the primary area. Excellent coverage throughout regardless of utilization levels. Multiple VPNs for WFH, simultaneous vid calls, Firesticks, the 653 is an excellent choice.

Problem free and easy setup
I bought these 3 years ago and installed with an Omada switch and Omada hardware controller in my home I built...works perfectly....I put one on each level. I pretty well never have to think about it or touch it...it just has worked for last 3 years with no issues at all. I do have the app and can see the network connections etc., but because it has always worked I don't have to think about it.

Excellent Budget Access Points
I've used TP-Link products for installations in nonprofits and small businesses for years. Every one that I have installed continues to function years after I made the installation. Now, these are brand new purchases but one reason I continue to buy TP-Link products is that they don't break. As for this unit: Like all TP-Link AP's, they are easily configured through an IP accessible web interface. Or they connect to an Omada controller, hardware, software, or cloud, and can be network managed just like all TP-Link smart devices. The EAP can easily handle more connections than your Comcast cable or even AT&T 1 gigabit lines can supply. Note that these AP's don't come with a power supply. OTOH, if you're using PoE or have PoE injectors, you save the money on a power supply that goes in the drawer. Finally, I've found TP-Link support to be responsive and the user community forums are well populated.

Works well but can see the ethernet wire
Operates fine, but you can see the ethernet wire no matter what you do. I had already run long BLUE cat 6 through my attack, so I turned each one best to hide that, but you can still see the wire from certain places in each room. Might consider terminating the ethernet with a 90-degree connector which might hide this.

Great and Reliable Product
I have been using this Wireless Access Point for over a year now and I have not had any issues with it. It does require an app to set up but once the setup is complete the app can be removed as long as you don't need to change any settings. The settings menu overall is quite useful allowing you to block individual devices connected. Overall, I find this product quite great and would purchase from this company again.

Far superior to Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC-Lite
I replaced a Ubiquiti UniFi AC-Lite with the EAP653. The EAP653, which supports WiFi 6 and OFDMA unlike the UniFi, instantly provided substantially improved speeds for 802.11g/n 2.4GHz clients about 100 feet away. The mounting bracket is metal and designed to accommodate not just direct ceiling and wall mounts, but also most common junction boxes. The EAP653 has prominent ventilation slots, so I expect it'll be less likely to discolor its case and its mounting bracket from intense heat than the AC-Lite. It supports industry-standard IEEE 802.3af PoE, unlike the older AC-Lite that only supports UniFi's passive 24V PoE (the AC-Lite will self-destruct if connected to 802.3af PoE). The Omada controller software is similar to the UniFi controller. It's less polished in appearance, but supports more features. For example, it was easy to set up SSIDs that only connect to 2.4GHz or 5GHz on the EAP653; that wasn't so with UniFi. Note that the EAP653 doesn't come with a power adapter, and it has slightly less gain (and thus range) than the otherwise-identical EAP650. Given how much better the EAP653's reach is than the AC-Lite, I don't think the lower gain is a problem.
