At the time of purchase, these were the best value for money when it came to quantity but I did find that whilst using them a few splinted (which is why I dropped a star!). Overall good.

There were loose cocktail sticks within the cardboard 'envelope' in which this tub of cocktail sticks was sent. The tub itself appeared to have been re-sealed with tape, which was hard to peel off and left two annoyingly sticky patches on the tub which will be extremely hard to remove without disturbing the remaining contents. This surely means that the hygiene of the sticks cannot be guaranteed so should not be used for raw food or as tooth picks. The manufacturer should therefore provide much more secure seals for these sticks before embarking on further marketing of this product. This is a pity, because the sticks themselves appear well made and strong.

You wouldn't think there would be much difference between toothpicks but you would be wrong. Some are very thin and weedy and easily snap at the points. These ones are a bit thicker and have strong points so last longer and do a better job of weeding out stray bits of food that lodge in your teeth. You also get a lot for the price. I usually tape down the lid to stop them all falling out accidentally and just use the shake method to fish out one at a time from the little hole in the top of the lid. Far more efficient.

Did the job
