Super Radio!
I bought this to replace an almost identical previous one of about 10+ years of age which no longer took re-charges ... I'm certainly not disappointed with this new purchase! This is a super little radio with excellent clarity of sound and tone and extremely easy to use. Unlike my previous one, it has the advantage of showing the battery life left so you know when it will need a re-charge, rather than having to guess! It also shows the time (useful if, like me, you tend to linger in the bath!), radio station and song and artist playing. The perfect accompaniment for your showering and bathing entertainment in fact! Highly recommended.

Why stand-by?
I toyed with the idea of getting a pair of ceiling speakers with a Bluetooth receiver that I could wire in to the bathroom lighting. But after using a Bluetooth speaker for a couple of weeks following the failure of our previous bathroom radio, the faff of swapping the phone that's connected to the Bluetooth put paid to the 'modern' solution... This is a pretty decent bathroom / shower radio (haven't used the Bluetooth). Sound quality is perfectly good for what it is - you'd probably want more bass if you were going to listen to music on it for hours on end, but for listening while you take a shower, it's fine. Battery life is also fine - it lasts us about three weeks on a charge with around 30 to 50 minutes use each day. Charging takes around 4 or 5 hours. The thing that stops it getting five stars - and almost got it sent back, as the manual doesn't mention this - is that it has a 'stand-by' mode. Why would you want a stand-by mode on a portable radio? It's not going to spring into life at the touch of a remote control button, it's pointless. Worse than pointless, in fact - it goes into stand-by with a quick touch of the power button and leaving it in stand-by drains the battery in less than 24 hours. Contacting the seller, I was told that the radio is not designed to be left in stand-by - so why have it? PITA waste of time. You have to hold the power button for two seconds to turn fully off and back on again. Would be five stars if it weren't for the stand-by.

Good little radio for bathroom
This radio works well in our bathroom with ok sound quality. It’s placed on a window ledge above a sink so not in the shower pers’e. Family of two. We’ve had the radio about 12 months now. The battery obviously needs charging every so often but it seems to last about2.5 to 3 weeks approx before requiring a recharge. We only ever have it tuned to one station (Greatest Hits Radio!) and we occasionally retune but not very often. Although the radio will operate a phone via Bluetooth but I think this uses battery power quicker but it’s ok. There may be other similar shower type radios now with larger batteries that might last longer but have a look around. Can recommend.

The battery has to be charged daily!
The battery only lasts for 10 hours even when the radio is turned off! The sound quality is excellent but, you need to remember to charge it every day otherwise it runs out. Not a good feature.
