Is this a genuine herman miller? is the seller an authorized dealer? how long does it take to ship to maryland?

It is an authorized dealer not Herman Miller. If I could repurchase I would go direct from Herman Miller. My chair came missing a wheel and I was super dissapointed. The chair arrived within a week. Amazone offered to ship a new replacement chair, however, the box weighs 50lbs and i need a friend to help me the first time so this was not a good solution. There is no savings purchasing direct do yourself a favor and buy with the original company

Does this model have the tilt option that moves the seat up and forward for easier typing?

Yes, this model does have the forward tilt option. I did not realize how much I would use it until the first time I tried it out and fell in love with it.

I am 6'1 and 315 lbs will this chair support me?

One of the most important dimensions to determine the appropriate chair for the user is the depth of the chairs seat pan compared to the length of the users thigh when sitting. There should be no more than 2-3 fingers width from the front of the chair to the back of the users leg behind the knee. Having the proper base under the user provides good posture and relieves pressure on the knees and legs from leaning forward to keep the user upright in the chair. I’m 6’3, 220 and prefer a 21” - 22” depth ( not width) seat pan.

Can you add the lumbar support pad to this or can this only use the Posturefit?
