Very impressed
These were an exact fit for my 95 Ford F150 4x4 short box. I was putting a lift on and my old shackles had the bolts frozen in them and the brackets and shackles were very rusty. Due to the design of the bracket, the bracket must be removed to extract the frozen bolt. For the price, these were a no brainer. I didn't need to remove the bed or drop the gas tank to install. I was able to cut off the old rivets with a grinder and knock them out with a hammer and drift. I was able to wiggle all the bolts in and get them tight with a little finesse. Total install time after the leaf spring was cut off was about 45 minutes. Very impressed with the fit and quality of the brackets and bolts. No modifications were required to any of the Dorman parts. The only thing I would change is to have also replaced the front leaf spring brackets with the Dorman parts as well.

Perfect fit, better than factory due to it having a drain hole in the lower portion
Removal of the old rusted out unit is labor intensive!!! Not for a novice to try due to amount of tools, jacks, stands, etc etc needed. Bolts difficult to install if you have 2nd fuel tank but not impossible. New hanger is a perfect replacement part

Fit my 1997 F350. Looks good. I didnโt use the hardware or the bushings. Shackle and hanger fit great though. 4 stars due to the cheap bolts.

Perfect fit for 4x4 1996 F150
Perfect fit for 4x4 1996 F150 4.9L pickup. This is a big job but doable if you are handy. I had to drop and replace the gas tank anyway since it was leaky, giving room to sit under the truck and remove the rivets on the hanger bracket. There are four on each side. I used an angle grinder to grind off heads, they still would not pop out, so drilled each one starting with a tiny bit until, with each bigger bit, the hole was as big as the rivet pin and then could hammer out the remnants of the rivet. Piece of cake after that. New bracket bolts on. Use a jack under the frame to jack up the truck until the hole in the shackle bushing lines up to get the bolt through. Note: I did not use the bushing in the top of the shackle that goes into the leaf spring end because it looked difficult to remove and the old bushing looked in good shape.

Nice alternative to OEM, no complaints
This shackle/hanger kit was a good replacement for the Ford parts that were quite rusty after 20 years, and much cheaper than OEM. It is hefty and seems well-made. The shackle/hangar kit is painted glossy black but some got chipped during the difficult installation (not Dorman's fault.) I spray-painted anywhere that showed bare metal so hopefully these will last 20 years too. My vehicle is a 1995 F-150 4x4.

Using oxyacetylene torch reduces time to install to about an hour.
Fixed rotted out rear hangers on my 1995 bronco. Utube shows a lot of people using grinders to remove rivets. I used a oxyacetylene cutting head torch then a punch to knock out of frame. I then used a heating tip to help burn out the rubber bushing. The outer metal part of the rubber bushing will still be lodged in the spring. You can chisel it but I found using the cutting head and slicing a groove in it to be a whole lot faster and easier.

good OEM replacement
I have used Dorman products for year and have had no complaints. They make OEM fit parts that always line up. If you own a ford truck Dorman can save you a ton of money on repair cost.
