Review: Gets the job done- amazing price - Great Ethernet crimper kit. My old pair crapped out on me so I ordered these and they have worked out to be a great pair. Very high quality kit that you can cut, strip and crimp Ethernet cable or telephone wire. I don’t do much telephone wire as a low voltage tech but we do a lot of Ethernet, alarm, thermostat, cameras wiring I do for clients so these have turned out great!! They are made with solid steel and a nonslip grip, so when you press to cut strip or crimp the torque performs effortlessly with such ease. I love that it comes with some replacement blades so I have them when I need to change them out. Also the networking tester is a great tool to have for testing for any wrong connections, short or open circuits. It’s a great quality tool to have if your a low voltage tech or even if you have some know how and do some of your own work at home. Happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend
Review: Bought this for occasional use and it works nicely - I have a slowly growing collection of ethernet cables that are unreliable and it seemed likely it was due to the connectors, so I purchased this. Some of the other user videos here were very helpful. After getting the knack with the first cable, I did two more, and they all tested well. Not having to buy 3 new replacement cables already paid for the tool. It feels solid in my hand and when I squeeze it to crimp. I would do one end, then test the cable to see that the first new connection was good, and then do the other end. That way, if it tested bad, I could be certain which end was the problem. I'm sure I'll have use for it again down the road. People who do this kind of thing for a living would probably opt for more expensive tools, but for my use case it's a very good value.
