How to Lose a Lemur Review: One of my favs to read at bedtime; cute story, pretty illustrations - One of my favorite books to read to my twins. I originally bought it at the San Diego Zoo gift shop and loved it so much I gave it to a friend for her son. The story is simple but sweet and fun to read and the illustrations are very nice. It's not too long or not too short. I read it to my 3 month olds so verdict is out on their opinion for now but I think they'll enjoy it for years to come :) Review: Wonderful - My 2 year old is obsessed with lemurs. This book is perfect and beautifully done.

Could this be any cuter?! Love!
This is is SO cute! My three-year-old lemur lover really took to it (as I expected). The first page starts out with a line that, “Once a lemur takes a liking to you, there is not much that can be done about it.” The illustrations are absolutely perfect. The little lemurs are each unique and even have facial expressions which are fantastic. They have as much personality as my child’s stuffed lemur in her imagination. The picture I included is my favorite because the lemur is pointing to the boy up in a tree like “he’s the one I want to play with” which is such an adorable detail.

Cute. Not long but simple and silly.
Cute. Not very long, but it is a board book so I didn’t expect it to be. The boy is being followed by lemurs and tries to lose them but he goes too far and can’t remember how to get home so the lemurs help him. Then he decides to be friends with them. Pretty cute. My three year old is mostly past the board book phase, but she is obsessed with lemurs so she loves it. I would have preferred a longer book for her but the subject of lemurs is a little limited so this was the best I found. I have a one year old to grow into it so I’m sure it will be enjoyed.

A charming story of a boy who just can't seem to shake the company of his (sometimes) pesky lemur pals. This book is one of our favourites! My 4 year-old son loves lemurs and this beautifully illustrated book is a MUST read nearly every night before bed. The story is sweet, easy to follow and fun to read again and again (I would know). I won't spoil the ending, but the little boy learns a lesson which (for me, the adult reader) brings to mind thoughts of tolerance and acceptance, benevolence and friendship. Oh, and in case you're wondering: it is apparently VERY hard to lose a lemur.

Lovely illustrations and a very original story, which unexpectedly prompted a conversation about kindness. It's just the thing to snuggle up with before bed. My 5yo can also read most of this himself, so it's a useful learning tool.

The book is hard wearing and managed to survive a week of childrens story time and still look brand new. The pictures and story is a fun book to read to kids and it keeps them interested.
