I bought a cheaper brand (left a very poor review) and should have spent the few extra dollars for The Beacon. I've only charged it once since I started using (over a month now) and it still is holding a nice, bright charge and I walk my Barkley every night for over 30 minutes, so it is used very regularly. It's sturdy, has 3 bright lights/pulses/ and is easy to click between. It can hang on the collar, or in my case, I clipped it to my dogs harness. I've had people comment on what a great light - so bright (but not obnoxiously bright at all!) and safe! Keeps us both extra safe at night. Extra visibility while running or biking. When my usual lights run out of power this light keeps going. I had this on blink for over 8 hours and it still wasn't dead. Even during daylight I feel safer while biking with an active light. The ring on top isn't very reliable, but the clip on it's back hasn't given me issue. It has 3 different colors and a variety of settings. I like my lights rechargeable, and not have to worry about watch batteries that cost almost half the cost of the light itself. Even though my dog stays on leash.
