I’m wondering if this will work alright on a stainless pistol? Some of what I’ve been hearing is no way and some it’ll good. Appreciate the help!

Yes it works. Guns usually aren't made of pot metal, they're stainless, like knives. So yea just make sure, like painting a car, you scuff and prep the surface with a degreaser and don't touch it after, paint in a dust free environment, light coats and then bake hanging between coats. You'll end up with a. Good outcome. Let it hang for a couple weeks to cure. That's the only weird thing about this stuff.

Will this color match on a Garand?

It would match some but not others. Garands come in a lot of different shades of gray.
