Bought this to use with FORScan on my Ford Focus and it’s been awesome. Plugged it into my laptop, FORScan picked it up right away. No driver issues, no messing around. The automatic HS/MS-CAN switch is super handy—saves time and makes everything smoother. I’ve used it for reading codes, checking modules, and even doing some customizations. If you’re working on a Ford or Mazda, this adapter is a no-brainer. Great value and does exactly what it’s supposed to!

Followed the instructions and all installed easily, connection to the car was quick and seems to perform well. Good quality and has led lights that the instructions tell you what they do and what to expect. I used the Forscan software that gave me all I needed and enabled us to change the configuration. All in all it was quick, easy and certainly value for money as it would have cost twice what it cost to buy if I had taken it to a garage.

I previously purchased the same item from another supplier and when first connected to Forscan it indicated that the firmware wasn’t up to date and then launched into an upload, which subsequently froze, leaving the connector dead. This one from Vgate had no such issues and has operated perfectly. More functions are available with this USB lead type than the Bluetooth ones, including key programming.

Only used it once but connected to the car without any problems. All the modules showed in the Forscan list so all seems fine.

Used this lead with FORScan on the laptop to successfully program new keys for an 07 Transit Van. Spotted a few other things that need attention while it was scanning. Have previously tried with a cheaper cable that would not make the connection at all with the van No problems with this product at all.

Bought this to use with forscan as it litterally says all over it made for forscan. Im unsure if this is the case but when i connect this to my computer i got an urecognised usb error. Ive installed the drivers like the instructions explain but no joy at all. i connected to my daughters laptop and the whole machine shut off completely.

Well made and reasonably priced item, perfect for the job. Minimal config necessary to establish connection and no faffing about with switching between HS and MS\CAN, all automatic. Used with FORScan software on my Fiesta ST150, showed all fault codes which led to a cheaper repair than the garage quoted. Money well spent.

Bought specifically for use with forscan software to diagnose issues with a 2016 mazda 3. I've had issues with some obd devices in the past, but this one just works every time. It stays in the glove box and has had zero connection issues despite being dropped and plugged/unplugged multiple times over the last year. The automatic switching between speeds works and has never been an issue. It paid for itself when proving to the dealership that they messed up on a recall that required flashing a new fbcm.

As the title says, this is a must-have for any Ford DIY mechanic. It's very easy to use and works very well with Ford OBD2 programs. The fact that it automatically switches from Ms scan to HS scan and vice versa is wonderful. The protocol that this uses makes any updates and usage very easy when working on a vehicle. I personally used it to flash a firmware update during an ECM swap. Everything went flawlessly and I have recommended it to several people already. The price is also extremely reasonable and when combined with the Ford diagnostic programs available to consumers, this is a no-brainer.
