Up until a week ago I’d never heard of a rivnut. But it was just what I needed. Fairly easy to use, just watch some YouTube videos. This tool came with a nice case and storage containers for all but the larger rivnuts. The tool looks like all the other ones, except this one is red. The 16 inch is the way to go as you’ll need the leverage for the larger rivnuts. The smaller rivnuts don’t take much effort, so don’t over do it or you might break the mandrel. There’s a meter built in to the tool but I haven’t figured out how to calibrate it to zero when closed. Depending on how far you open the handles up, and the size of the rivnut, you don’t necessarily have to close the handles all the way. Take 15 minutes and get the feel of it using some scrap metal. I love this tool. I can see it being very handy and it does cost an arm and leg. Build quality seems good.

this gun had absolutely no issue installing steel rivets in my license plate holes on my porsche cayenne. I had rusted license plate rivets that were not allowing me to screw in my license plate. I purchased new steel rivets from the car dealer, screwed on the M6 mandrel, then screwed the steel rivet onto the M6 mandrel, stuck it in the hole, squeezed the handles together, and VOILA! Done in 2 seconds, and the rivets are in there as snug as the factory ones i removed were. This rivet gun did it with ease! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have used this twice in a month while adding parts on to my vehicles. 4 holes with 4 fasteners that are holding strong so far. Comes with a good amount of rivnuts of various sizes for what I would say is your average DIYer. It's way easier to use than the tool I have at my job. You can generate far more leverage with these compared to the other style where you squeeze with one hand. Those are awful. These are great though. Definitely recommend.

I like the tool but instructions are lacking. I watched ins on UTube but broke the small mandrel on the first try. I think I have it understood but waiting on the new mandrel to arrive. Other than that I am looking forward to using it. GET ALL THE INFORMATION IDEOS YOU CAN BEFORE USING THE SMALL PARTS.

worked as expected. and did a great job of anchoring in my Rivnuts to my Car Port tube steel for hanging Gridwall panels. so much easier than using the Bolt and Nut ghetto tensioner method.

I paid just over $100. For the tool and additional rivetnuts and within my first hour a restaurant owner ask me to install a hose reel and stainless shelving. $350.WOW!! I already have jobs lined up with electricians to install temp panels and to install wheel well liners on someone’s truck. This tool can seriously make you a ton of extra money without trying. I leave it out for people to see, they ask what it is, JOB SOLD, that easy. If I put it away and never use it again, I’m still $250 ahead

I’m very impressed by this kit. Mandrels are in permanently labeled containers that nest into the case, case has room for various sizes of rivet nuts. The tool itself is very easy to use and change mandrels. Only thing missing from this is a spreadsheet of what size hole to drill for the particular size of nut.

I’m very happy with this purchase. The tool feels quite solid and the kit it comes with is more than impressive for the price. I’ve used it several times and have zero complaints. Definitely recommend this kit.
