Simple, great idea to avoid luggage zipper failure from handling abuse when checking a bag. I cinch one of these down to take the tension and pressure off the zipper, especially on big and heavy 28 inch bags, then check them without worry. Without fail when I retrieve the luggage the strap has black stains and rub and scuff marks. So not sure what is beating them up but I’m sure glad they’re on there. In fact I always pack an extra one just in case.

Bought these for a recent trip with an older well-used soft-sided suitecase that was jam packed and heavier than I liked. I was worried it might fail and rip open in transit, but these luggage straps worked great to hold it together and it arrived in good shape, outbound and back. I put one around the top to bottom and one around the side, and adjusted them snugly so no slack to catch on anything. Cheaper than a new suitcase! And didn't actually have time to get a new piece of luggage before I left, but these came overnight delivery. Saved the day. Also they make your bag easier to spot on the luggage carousel as they are a bright color. Recommend.

The straps are good for smaller luggage, but the photos showing it wrapping both vertically and horizontally around the suitcase only works on smaller luggage. Even our mid-sized checked suitcase could only be strapped on the short side. The straps were not long enough to do the tall side. Forget about a large suitcase. They need another 12"-15" inches of webbing on each strap to do it right. Besides that, they are good quality and held up on our first trip.

Honestly, I have very little experience with these straps because they were removed after checking my luggage in by TSA on a recent flight from Seattle to Dallas/Fort Worth. They went on easily, and the clip and fabric strap heavy duty. They have no locks, so why TSA didn't put them back after inspecting my bag on is a mystery.

I bought the four pack and shared. Not. Only did it keep my case in tack but made. It readily recognizable at the airport and on the tour. Easy to use.

I love the neon color, it’s easy to spot my luggage from afar. The downside is the black plastic strap; it’s fragile and can break easily.

This is a very good addition to your suitcases to find them immediately on the airport baggage carousel.

First off, great bright green color, seem sturdy and the plastic parts are fairly thick, good overall quality. There are pros and seemingly cons to these. I just bought my first piece of hard side luggage and read these help prolong the bags life. I wanted to use these to help hold the bag together and use them as an easy marker, since my luggage is a generic color. I just came back from my first trip where I had a ~2hr direct flights each way. I used 2 straps horizontally, if the bag were upright. This bag has a built-in TSA approved lock that I did NOT use. Upon getting my bag in my destination city, one strap was completely missing. And it was obvious my bag had been opened/searched. While it’s possible, I highly doubt the strap broke. I think it’s more likely that whomever opened it couldn’t get it back on and instead of adjusting it a bit, they just didn’t put it back on. On the return trip I put the strap on the same way, but in the middle and looped it through the handle, again not using the lock. It arrived with the strap on, but it was obvious my bag had been opened again. It was suggested that perhaps my bag got searched both times simply because it had the strap/s. I’m not hiding anything in my luggage, but it is a bit annoying when it’s clear someone has gone through/messed up my carefully packed items. I’m going to keep using them, thee straps themselves work well. just be aware you may have a higher chance of being searched and having your personal items gone through.

The straps are not the same as shown! They have a triangular piece of metal next to the buckle ( see pic) that means you can't use them in a straight line making them useless!!!
