Love it!
Love this air purifier. On low it is not very loud but on high it is loud. I love that because it drowns out the loud noises of the other people in the house.

Such a good value I bought 2of them. They are very quiet and the air smells so clean after running them. I love the size they are not so bulky. They work so well. I worked highly recommend this.

Works well as an air purifier but is quite loud. The sleep mode does not reduce fan speed
The MA-40 UV is well constructed and easy to use. It has the desirable UV light feature although I believe it only operates for a set time and then goes off. It is advertised as having 4 speeds but I only found 3 speeds, the sleep mode is the same as the minimum fan setting. The unit is quite loud even on the lowest fan setting, that being said the noise is "white noise" so it probably will not keep one awake but you sure notice it in the day time. I bought the (2) MA-40-UV online so I learned about them after I bought them. I returned them and bought the MA-50-UV which is discontinued as new old stock from eBay and I prefer them as they are powerful but much quieter as they are of a different design. I would have bough the new model MA-50 V3, but they don't offer the UV light feature that I desire. I do not know if the new MA-50 V3 is the same otherwise as the original MA-50 / MA-50 UV.

Customer Service? I think not!
I am incredibly disappointed in the customer support for this product. I can't believe I am writing about how unhelpful both Medify and Amazon customer support is. The product is great if you get one that works. I purchased 4 for my house and loved them. I subscribed to Medify's auto filter replacement service. These 4 were wonderful air cleaners and I loved them. I purchased one for my Mother's house in Florida, it performed wonderfully. Then, just a month ago, I purchased a 2-pack from Amazon. I commute between NH & FL regularly and really needed both houses to have reliable air cleaners. The 2 pack arrived, I unboxed and started the units up. 3 weeks later 1 of the units suddenly stops working. As soon as you pressed the power button, the unit tried to power up but immediately turned off. I called Customer Support. I left a message about the malfunctioning unit. I got a call back the same day. The representative gave me specific instructions to perform a "hard reset". As I took the call when I was not home, I wrote down the instructions and read them back. The line connection was horrible. The respresentative spoke with a thick accent which was hard to understand. I asked for an email address as the phone connection quality was not good. When I got home, I tried the instructions that I wrote down. Needless to say, it didn't work, as the unit would not stay on long enough to reset. I took a video of the behavior of the unit, I located my invoice on Amazon and downloaded it. I forwarded this information to the email address I was given and waited 4 days for a response. I then contacted the vendor through my Amazon account. I was informed that I used the wrong email address. I was also told that Medify wouldn't be able to verify my invoice as I did not order directly from Medify. I feel that the implication is that I was trying to "cheat" and get a free unit or something. Why, I do not know. Suddenly, I am a bad person because I wanted both units that I bought and paid for through Amazon to be working. I re-sent the information using the email address I was given anyways. I have heard nothing back. I tried to return the purchase through amazon and not surprisingly, there was little help there. I was presented with only one choice of boxing up the units (both the working one and the non working one) for a refund. I would have done this too, except that I was given 24 hours to get the package to a UPS store. I travel between NH and FL regularly and was not able to 'hop a plane' to Florida on a moment's notice to make this return happen. So now my window of returning these is gone and I have 1 working unit and 1 non-working unit. Medify's Customer service sucks! Buyer beware!!!!!

Fantastic product
I love the new filters these come with and also some great modifications to earlier models. I have five in my house and they sure do keep the air from breathing in dust

Superb Find! Excellent quality!
Best deal ever, fantastic units too. I have one in the master bedroom (12 x 13) and one in my painting studio room (12 x 14.5) to clean & ventilate the air & potential fumes. It works fantastic. Did the incense 'smoke test', lighting a bunch to fill the room first, switch it on & it cleared the room in about 15 seconds. (I have vaulted 10' ceilings) Filter replacements are cheaper than other brands & don't need to be changed out often if you keep a watch on outside buildup of dust & hair. Good buy.

Outstanding.
***UPDATE*** The level of customer service satisfaction is trough the roof. The fact that they responded to me and took care of this issue for me was amazing, fast responses and always very kind and helpful. My confidence has been restored in this brand, not only for the product but for the customer service as well. Not even a year and now it does not work properly. And to say I loved it was an understatement. So disappointed. For the price I paid I expected this to last longer.
